the freeze land of the lost lp

if zach doesn't like this record he's insane or he just likes to not like things. i mean this guy has an unpredictable taste. i find something i think he'll like and he doesn't. but in a way that's cool. i just kind of wish he'd relise that metal is awesome. anyway is this actually an lp?it plays at 45 rpm.oh well. great melodic hardcore. i really like this record but in my opinion rabid reaction is better. i'm n6t sure why. maybe it's just that it's a little more melodic. whatever the case may be this album still smokes. only thing is cliff's vocals are a bit thin and i think he doubletracked some of them. i don't have a favorite song on hear because i think this album like everything by the freeze should just be listened too from start to finish. i will say that the instraments are well produced. and the cover! classic. we need to update it and make it into a poster. this is not hard to find at all. unless you want an original in which case good fuckin luck. you need to get this album though. and everything by the freeze for that matter including the new stuff because i've heard it's great. and zach i know you'll like this one i was just joking at the beginning of the post.

the fartz because this fucking world stinks 7 ep

i've been wondering. will this blog be around in 30 years? or 1 year for that matter. we'll just have to see i guess. got a package from ed of garden weasel containing a gw test press 7 and the underlings 7. will review the underlings 7 as soon as i can. already reviewed the gw 7 but maybe a rereview is in order. i like rereviews except it doesn't drive up the count of posts. it's about how many posts you have not what's in em. hahaha. maybe i'll do some more. anyway onto the damn review. well i move from a record that zach hates to a record that he may like. or not. i don't know. anyway with a name like the fartz you'd think it's some stupid silly punk band. far from it. this band i guess has some pretty anarchest lyrics. pretty cool. really cool hardcore punk. put out in 81 i think and it fuckin shreds from a to zed! everything is just right on this record. the drummer later played in the horible guns n roses. the singer later sang in the accused a really good crossover band with cool horror lyrics. will have to review that some time. the fartz later released a 12 ep that i'd really like to hear. i'm guessing this has been reissued. get that.

ss decontrol get it away 12 ep

repost from march of 2010 because i can and because i've changed my opinion on this record. for historical reasons (and to make this post longer) i'll keep the old review which went like this.

cool ssd. let's put it on. hmm a little slower. oh my god! what is that! is someone taking a shit or dying! oh shit those are the vocals! turn it off! make it stop! do i have to say more. slower, twin guitars, and horible i mean horible vocals. like i said i can't tell if he's taking a shit or being stabbed. and the aweful streightege lyrics! this is the only complete record on the power album. don't get it. spare your ears. and this is coming from someone who loves screeming vocals. it's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!

now for the new review. well after hearing what the original vinyl sounded like my opinion is vastly different. i know why i felt like that. hell the kids lp was amazing with how fast it was and how raw. this is not very fast and kind of clean. but it really is a great record. i can understand how someone may not like springa's voice because it's so damn high but just listen! you can hear the anger. i don't think however that this is one of the greatest punk records ever. the kids is way better. but that doesn't mean it's not a good record. i like that buzcocks cover at the end. the lyrics might not be something i agree with (i'm not streight-edge and i don't like the crew unity thing) but they're from the heart. i'm sure zach will trash this record up and down. whatever. i need some comments about how much people hate records i review. oh and the two guitar attack is amazing. overall this is a great record. get the original though not the power comp. for a record called power the get it away tracks seam very clean and powerless. they don't have any distortion at all. so yeah get the original and start saying how much you hate this record!

negative approach tied down lp

well first let me say that zach is god. you'll find out why soon enough. anyway we all know who negative approach is. i reviewed the self titled 7 some time ago. i actually got the total recall cd with everything by the band on it. a bit more musical than the 7. one hard rock/metal track that is good not great but the rest is amazing. slower but they've grown musically and it works. the production is a little thin though. maybe it's just me. get this on the cd or spend hundreds of bucks. your choice. one more thing. vocals are amazing. i don't need to explain. coming up my first (and maybe only) rereview. well it's my only one if someone doesn't help me with that sfa 7 i asked for help on. the post is the get it away 12 by ss decontrol because my feelings have changed so much that the review i had doesn't mean anything except for it's very funny. i'll keep the original but i'll rereview it. soon. probably not the next post but it's comin up.

void condensed flesh demo tape

well i was looking through this blog and realised i had no void posted. well in order to fill the void (sorry couldn't resist) i will review the demo. produced by some guy named ian who was in some band called minor threat. ever heard of em? haha. good sound to this tape. the only thing i didn't like about the dc hardcore thing is that they were so humorless and void provides nothing to convince me otherwise. oh well. just really brutal hc from 1981? i'm not sure about the year (i need to do research before doing these posts) but what i am sure of is that if you don't have this demo i don't like you very much. and if you have a 7 ep with the title condensed flesh don't worry. the demo was released as a 7. this is also a really powerful demo. i mean just listen to it. as erich said "it makes me want to do things. things!" get this somehow. and leave a comment like brian did (thank you man) or zach does.

atomic raygun attack!

you know today i just thought of a band i really liked that broke up last year (god i'm so up to date) called atomic raygun attack. it was really stupid pop punk. i mean they had lyrics about milkshakes, cows, and weird shit like that. i think if they just sang about girls and tried to make it big i wouldn't have liked them but they were just really silly and fun. they even did an ep about the futurama episode the sting. it wasn't anything i'd put on if i wanted to kill people but it was really fun. it really sucks that they broke up and maybe when eric's done with that tour of the world he'll make some more music. if adyone from the band are reading this thank you for the laughs and the music.

necros i.q. 32 7 ep

first of all zach gets the award for best comment ever. he posted the lyrics for public high-school and a little thing went off in my head and i said it's time for necros. this is great midwest hc with one of the guys from the ever wacky touch and go label on bass i think. the vocals are kind of high but it's still very good. they later said they didn't really like these early 7s but i do. i can relate to them. you know i have to take a break from all those political bands and just sing a song about high-school and shit like that. i hate my school is my song right now. i just love how young these guys are. at least they sound young. later on they went metal and if you can point me to that album i would like to hear it. get this somehow. and remember to leave a comment and try to beat that last one.

Witchaven - Terrorstorm [2010]

i don't know shit about witchaven or at least i didn't until now. i heard about them from a few friends and saw that they did exist. i was supposed to see them live but i think we've been there already. so i was just kind of forgot about them til a friend gave me this cd. what can i say? black/thrash metal from southern california. great shit. a mix of satanic songs with more politcal thrashers. i actually like that mix. why just be satanic or political? i know the satanic songs are just filler but please guys keep it up. too many political bands around saying the same thing. i mean even if you agree with what they say why would you want to listen to the same thing over and over again? now on to the actual music. i like the sound clips that they put in. very nice and it shows that they're at least awhere of what the hell's going on. i don't know why they call it black/thrash. i just call it thrash metal because i never liked subsubsubsubgenres.however i w3uld say that there is a huge black metal influence. they makes me want to pit really hard. the mix is gritty and fucking raw. you know that's why i like unsigned bands. they always have this really raw mix that bands with big producers just lack. it sounds more underground. a lot of metalheads don't like this kind of production. i love it. you can keep all your good producers i'll take a tape recorder. the vocals are a well at least to me they're a hybrid of black metal and thrash metal vocals. very nice. hopefully i get to see these guys live (last show i heard about was le mans week which was out of the question) because it sounds like a good time. one of the better releases of 2010. get it if you like metal. if you don't then stay tuned. hc comin up!

are you telling me it's only been three days?

sleep sleep's holy mountain cd

black sabbath called. they want their music back. this is a total ripoff of sabbath. na just joking though it does sound a lot like a ripoff. sleep are a stoner/doom metal band from the 90s. this is the band's second album and the only one i have apart from the amazing vol 2 7 on off the disk records. two of the songs from this album appear on that 7. but enough of that. i love the gui1tar sound on this one. very bloosy feel to it. the vocals range from sabbath-like singing to shouting. maybe not the most original band in the world but it works if you like stoner metal which i really do. the lyrics are total stoner lyrics. i have a friend who likes these guys and i can see why. he also likes prog rock (you know who you are) so i can infer he's hit the bong before. am i the only one who can hear some hardcore punk influence? or maybe it's cause they were asbestos death before sleep. i don't really know and i don't really care. you must get this if you like sabbath or stoner metal.

please help with something

well as it turns out the rip of the SFA new york ep. i just found out the rip i have does not represent the sound. i got it from punk obitchuary and for some reason that rip sucks. so please help with a good rip. i will re-review it and whoever helps me will get mentioned on my blog and um maybe i can arange something like a guest post or something. or if you want something else. just please help. thank you.

just another thought post

it's way too early in the morning and i've got my music on. but nothing's jumping at me so let's have another rant. it's funny that when this blog started i didn't think i'd do so many reviews. thank you zach. and to anyone who feels i was bragging on the last post first of all fuck off. second i wasn't bragging. i just meant to say hpr rocks and we've helped each other. i'm not saying anyone came up to me and said that and actually i was very careful about my words. anyway we come to the heart of this post if it has a heart. a great blog i follow said he won't post hardcore because basically it's done all over the net so why should he? first of all you could fix some of these links but anyway that's very interesting. i mean i've always run this blog with a policy of not caring what the other blogs do. wait that sounded way too dickheadish even for me. what i'm saying is if it's something i really like i'm reviewing it no matter how many blogs have it. it would be the same if i was posting mp3s. i know what he means though. over the weekend i had one of these why should i things. it's over now but i said the exact same thing. but then i realised something. what is a blog? it's like a fanzine if you ask me. at least for me. granted sometimes i don't write much and i'm really sorry for that and i know my spelling sucks. but really i just love the music. i love it so much that in december of last year i started putting dow what i think about music in the hopes that someone whuld share my demonic music love. that's all it is. i'm not some dude who was in a band 30 years ago. i'm not some dick who thinks everyone should listen to me and i'm not 7inchpunk.com. i'm a fan. that's all. just thought you'd like to read that. i don't know. there was going to be a third thing i was going to write but i forgot. review coming.

happy birthday hardcore punk reviews!

yes the amazing hardcore punk reviews is one year old. i haven't checked the blog to see if he's done anything on this because i just got home. anyway it was founded by some guy named zach in some country called canada. anyway his blog ran pretty good for like three months. then he stopped by the eslod (elliott sucks layer of death) and gave a link to his blog. one of the things that made me save his blog in my favorites was the way he just gave his opinion even if sometimes i'd wonder what was in the water over in canada. haha. anyway a few weeks (months?) passed before i discovered the internet archive. i also discovered zach had a lot of great records and thought it was a sin that he didn't have any downloads. not just for me but for everyone. anyway to make a long story long, i told him about it and now hpr is better then ever. i don't mean to brag or anything. the blog was already great. but i wanted to help make it better. and zach's done a lot for this blog. for one thing he's kepped it going by commenting. also i think if it wasn't for him i wouldn't have gotten the prized spot on the blogroll on gbm. so happy birthday hpr. hope you have many more. and thanks for the music! also if it wasn't for hpe i probably wouldn't be working on music. i'm writing songs for a second fucked up society demo. so let's summarise. hpr rules!

go! there is no man 7 ep

this band probably was around too late for some people and that is a shame cause this band put out some great no bullshit hardcore punk. the last track fear of a gay plannet is actually pretty self explanitory. it's making mun of public enimy for being homophobes. interesting. the other songs are well just awesome. not too much to say. get this at mustard relics. and look for a reissue or something. not sure if it's been reissued. i don't really pay attention to everything coming out. on an unrelated topic erich once asked in a comment on his site good bad music something like if people reissue a record with the original booklet and everything why would someone want an original? personally i think it's good. i mean i don't have the money to get the original cause you fucking egay assholes charge so goddamn much for a record with two fucking songs on it because all you can think about is cashing in. i don't like those people. that's why for the longest time i never went on ebay. anyway i support reissues with everything from the original. when i buy a record i want to have it the way someone had it 30 years ago without having to sell my brain to science (not that they'd take it) to pay for a record. ranting done. get this 7 somehow. or don't. i don't really care.

IQ 55 livet ar en bluff 7

well summer is almost over for me and as usuall i have become a damn hermet for the past 2 months at least as far as i haven't had the chance to hang out with anyone unless you count my music. kind of wish i could replay this summer over and do a few things different. oh well. one of my current favs at the moment is IQ 55. the singer is in my list of best voices (how many is that) he really does have a great voice. the first track livet ar en bluff (life is a joke) is um punk? well yeah. i actually read the english version of the lyrics. depressing as fuck. second song is great as well. i really don't want to describe this because i can't. how do you describe perfection? i also have like three demos by them. they were always great. a question for all the guys reading this who know about this this band. that tape from 83. is that the same singer? he sounds a little different. maybe it's just me. still great though. get it at kbd records. but before that comment on this or any other of my 276 posts and tell me how much you love me! if you don't i'll quit blogging. hahah.

jill kossoris invisible cd

okay so here's the thing. i got the problem fixed two days ago. i really wanted to post but just couldn't. i lack the motivation that i need to formulate my thoughts about a record. what that means is i was out of coffee and didn't want to sleep. so last night i went out to the speedway motorcycle races and that restored me to what passes for motivated. actually unlike most times there was no search for what record i was gonna review. for those of you who don't know (shame on you) jill kossoris was the vocalest for one of the best powerpop bands ever. the shivvers. i posted a lot about them and i heard that 20+years later she did a solo album. finally i got off my ass and bought this. what can i say? this actually took some time for me to embrace it. it's different from anything i have in my collection. you can still hear the powerpop but now she includes country and some others. good thing is she still has that voice. a little older but not bad. not bad at all. i find a lot of these songs get stuck in my head even if i don't always agree with the lyrics (i'm a punk who likes gg allin what do you expect?) still if you like the shivvers and don't mind something a little different get this. if you just want hardcore don't worry. i'll give you hardcore. and pretty soon it's happy birthday for hardcore punk reviews. special post for that too.

the throwaways/spastic panther split 7

okay i'm just about out of stuff to review so i thought i'd do this. sometimes i don't like the idea of reviewing something that was just posted on a blog but now i don't really care. what's up with canada? they just keep turning out great bands. especially new bands. both these bands are are from canada. that's why i wrote that. anyway on to the review. first up is the throwaways. what can i say? fantastic! just fantastic powerpop (and yes zach it is powerpop) with amazing female vocals. i have to say if i was gonna start a powerpop band (which i'm not against doing) i would probably have a girl on vocals. i just think it works. these girls (and guy) have 4 great songs that really leave me wanting more. a lot more! spastic panther are very good but to be honest i'm not in the mood for much hardcore right now. it's because i'm outside and it's really hot and nice. that's where the throwaways come in. maybe when i have to go back to school i'll get into spastic panther. great band name though. i have a cat that looks like a panther and another cat who's spastic as hell. so combine them and you have a spastic panther. i really think these guys are a joke though. that's not an insult. i like it but really not in the mood. get it however you can. and if a member of the throwaways reads this (which you won't be) maybe you can fill in who's in the band and where people can get this which they should. and please put out more stuff!

amebix redux 12 ep

yep. amebix are back. if you don't know amebix then i hate you. haha not really. anyway 3 songs previously released but they've been rerecorded. normally i wouldn't care but this is the first thing they've recorded in over 20 years. and they haven't lost anything. this is great! not as good as arise! but still good. better mixing but i actually like the mix on arise! more. very metallic sounding still. the only thing it at least to me the vocalest used to sound like the dude from venom. i mean i wonder if they were the same person. now he still has that gravelly style of singing but he doesn't sound so much like venom anymore. get this however you can. should be very easy as it's on cd download and vinyl. oh one more thing. this is a message to everyone who includes a download card in the vinyl. don't. i bought the vinyl because i wanted to rip it from my turntable because it sounds better that way. yes i want an mp3 version of it. thank you for realising that. but i can do it myself thank you. i have like 50 download cards that i never used. they're probably expired (can they expire? if they can't come get em) anyway um get this ep.

art in war demo cdr

i told the guys from this band i'd feature them on this blog. in like march. fuck! i'm lazy. anyway my computer fucking crashed. all music i had is gone. until i get this figured out (or maybe just throw shit out the window) every review is something i was gonna post anyway. now on to the music. art in war is not for the metal purests. it sounds like nu-metal. not like level. you remember that right? no this is very good. also it has some very good reggae parts. i'm not really into reggae unless i'm high but this is very good. i don't know how you can get this. can't find fucking anything on the web about this band but i know they exist. but try to get it. it's a very short demo. 3 songs of awesomeness. and before i forget i couldn't do it yesterday but happy late birthday gg allin. you would have been 54. r.i.p.

hatebreed under the knife 7 ep

well i'm doing 15 posts today because the dude from mad blasts of chaos had 10 (although i don't know when he started them) and i thought if he could do 10 with links and shit i could do 15. and thank you for putting an lp up using direct links. i don't know what made you do it or if you just forgot but thank you so much. anyway this post is for him though i don't know if he reads this. anyway he said he liked hatebreed so i pulled out the first ep by these guys. great old metalcore (which is basically metallic hardcore) great stuff. i may be the only one who likes this shit who reads this blog but i don't really care. later on hatebreed went to "bad metal" but i like the bad metal. although having a song like kill an adict is unexceptible. sorry. great song but yeah. i also have a demo by these guys. this was reissued along with the demo on the under the knife cd. get that if you can't get the original. but if you can then...well do that. 14 posts to go.

grudge project x 7 ep

well i was struck by a sudden inspiration to post and this felt so right. grudge were like crucial youth and took the piss out of streight-edge gay crew bands like crippled youth (and that 7 is actually really good i take it back) anyway this is less witty than crucial youth but it really does sound like one of my bands if i were to do something like this. this band shouldn't be taken as a novelty act though because they really rip shit up with 8 songs and a few spoken parts that are just great. the last track o.c. crew is just perfect. i wish there were more bands like this. as much as i like some of those streight-edge bands as i once said "everything needs to be made fun of once." it's still very true today if you ask me. get this from mustard relics and as always look for a hardcoppy. come on you greedy cunts. enjoy this one and remember that "we want you for the o.c crew!"

demon hunter storm the gates of hell cd

i know what your thinking. what? elliott is posting a review for a christian metal band! he's lost it! first of all i never really had it. second even though i'm very far from a christian i really enjoy this one. yes it's metalcore. big deal. people don't like metalcore and i can kind of understand. but when did i post something because the people would like it? i'm posting this because well i'm really not sure why. this is actually very good metalcore with good heavy parts and good melodic parts. the lyrics are worse than crippled youth though. like i said i'm not even near christian and would rather listen to venom satanic lyrics than this but the music is very fucking good. so domon hunter you're lucky you perform well. check this out if you like metalcore. if you don't than well whatever. and thanks to the dude from the modernettes for commenting. that was just cool. i respect everyone who leaves comments on blogs. i just think it's funny cause i said that noone from the band would find this blog and the next day i woke up and checked my comments i need to publish and there it was. so let's summerise. bla bla demon hunter is cool but has stupid lyrics bla bla bla modernettes rule!

the modernettes teen city 12 ep

well zach i guess is taking a little break as i did (if he's not than fuck off) and as liliput said "when the zach's away the elliott will play." okay he's not really gone but i just wanted to put that. what we have hear is another band from canada the modernettes with a fucking killer 12 ep. every song is just great powerpop punk i guess you'd call it. i guess the band didn't want to be big. trust me they could have been. i heard a story about some big record label dipshit coming to a show and i guess he was freaked out cause those guys were smoking and drinking onstage and just acting like well acting like stupid teens. love it. i just checked and they is a comp cd of all the band's material. get it. and it was produced by the same guy who fucked up metallica. actually i like new metallica but fuck it's just not the same. he does a good job on this one though. get it somewhere. and one of the guys has a book out that you should get. not sure what the title is right now but if you look a little you can find it. i think the dude's name is john armstrong but he goes by something else on the record. if you're reading this and you were in this band (which you won't be) fill us in.

anti-cimex scandinavian jawbreaker lp

goddamn this is hard! like every fucking band in the world these guys went metal. or maybe just thicker crust. sounds like motorhead or amebix at times but that's not bad. lyrics are in english for some reason. this band always had something from the first ep to this one. cimex always had power. some people don't like this and i can kind of understand. if you don't like cimex from raped ass on or crust or metal you aren't gonna die when you hear this. but i think i did. still has d-beats and that's awesome but a lot of songs aren't as frantic as on older records. still a great record. get this if you want fucking powerful metal.

the bayonets stuck in this rut 7

at first i thought this was powerpop but now i'm not so sure. doesn't mean shit though as it's a great record. these guys and girl/girls i don't know come from toronto ontario canada. i actually know where that is. they have an indycar race every year. anyway what really stans out are the vocals. i don't know how she does it but her voice is perfect for this band. she doesn't sound pissed or anything but well it's amazing. if the singer for the bayonets is reading this (which she isn't) great fucking job! and if anyone is reading this head over to hpr for this one. except for zach who already has it. oh and i apollogize to both justin (well depending on how he took the joke) of mustard relics and zach of hardcore punk reviews. i was just making a little joke about how i always say what a great site mustard relics is and how cool justin is. just read the ill repute post. anyway hopefully zach comes back. okay enough nice shit. get this one or die!

ill repute demo

sometimes i feel bad that i review shit i find on the net. other times i just feel i'm reviewing something i really like. this is one of those reviews. do you know who ill repute are? no? shame. actually probably everyone knows about this band. these demos are something i've heard but never heard of. great nardcore. that's oxnard hardcore for you people not cool enough to know that. i've been up by oxnard and i can't remember what i did or why i was even in oxnard. that shows you either how borring oxnard is or how stupid i am. a lot if not all of these track are on other releases but now you get them in a rawer (more raw) format. i really like the sound these guys have. is it me or does nardcore have a skating thing going on. not jfa but still great. even though i don't skate i still love skatecore. makes me want to fuck shit up outside. anyway you can find this at soulseak (whatever that is) i think. i got it from some blog called mustard relics. don't think i've ever mentioned that blog before. yeah and the admin is really rude. he's almost as bad as zach! hahahahahaha sorry couldn't resist. enjoy this.

Monday, August 16, 2010

comments

well it turns out i have 167 comments by 9 people. thanks to zach, justin, brian, ed, jimbob, mat, eric, ononymous, and erich. but huge thanks to zach who leaves the most out of all the dudes on this blog but hell i'm just glad someone found this place out. and remember if you read this and don't comment your death will be slow and horible. if you do comment you will have a quick and paneless death. except for zach. he still gets the slow horible death. why? because i'm an asshole! anyway keep on reading and commenting.

i'm posting but i'm still on break. at the elliott sucks layer of death (my room) all is quiet. a dog is sleeping on the floor having taken my bedsheet with it. and i'm really really really borred. now the question comes up. why don't i sleep? two reasons. the dog (a rather new one) is silent right now and i love it so much. pluss in about 20 minutes the moto gp race will start and i hate tevo so yeah fuck that. and the vacation i had planned well just didn't happen so for now i am confined to the house. anyway why do i go to see live shows? for the feeling? the music? or just seeing some other kids that are kind of likeminded once you get passed the racing thing. no. it's the fuckups. and also the music but a live show without missing notes or not remembering a song and just either mumbling through or just fucking shit up (fuckshitupism as someone once said) that's why no band will probably never play with me onstage. i am anything but a perfectionest and the best shows i've seen honestly was when the band couldn't play but still tried. that's also why i don't rerecord things. i put it down once unless i want to change something dramaticly in the song. otherwise you get it the first time through no matter what it sounds like. so anyway if your a band embrace the fuckups and don't be a perfectionest twat like some assholes. oh cool i've killed some time. see you all later. actually i may post again just to keep myself awake. i'm sure later on today i'll see this post as i offin do with my posts and say what the fuck was i thinking? i'm pretty sure i didn't write most of these posts. they were actually put down by some drunk dude from norway. or maybe an even more drunk and probably insane person from sunland. oh shit i just outed myself. fuck. okay i'm really tired of writing nothing. see you.

taking a break

well i'm kind of on break. i just don't feel like posting music reviews right now. thinking of starting a new blog that deals with racing. plus as someone (and you know who you are) said i'm lazy. if you want my writing but ya know better go to hardcore punk reviews. except that guy doesn't say fua or shit as much as i do hahaha. anyway i'll be back later. oh and one more thing. you know what i hate? people who hang out with snobbish assholes with a lot of money and they start acting like they're all amazing and shit. fuckin scumbags.

Friday, August 6, 2010

alright alright i'll post

well it's time i get off my ass and post. here at the elliott sucks layer of death (you come up with a better one) it's really quiet. i mean really fucking quiet. is it always this quiet? oh right it is. oh well. review coming.

contramundi s/t cd

okay i had this for fucking ever but didn't know who these guys (and girl) were. finally found the band name and then i found out that they're from south africa. interesting. i think they broke up cause last i heard the drummer was going to france. sucks but what are ya gonna do? kind of melodic but really good peace punk. if you like that kind of thing go to archive.org and get it. if you don't then shut up. simple. the female vocals really add something to this album. check it out. i really don't want to give too much away. if you don't at lest check it out i don't like you and um i guess that's it. just do it.

metallica master of puppets lp

the first time i heard metallica was when i was 8 years old and i bought a nascar comp. don't ask. the first track was an outtake from i believe load or maybe reload and it sent shivers down my young spine. it was amazing to me at least. then i found out it wasn't cool to like new metallica. know what? i didn't fucking care. metalheads piss me off sometimes. not all of them but some. i'd rather hang out with punks and listen to metal only with my metal friends you are actually smart metalheads if you can call them metalheads. anyway i think i bought this album when i was like 12 and it was the fastest shit i'd heard. now i still think it's a great album but not thrash. no not even close. well maybe prog thrash. i mean the first track battery is nothing but a kickass power metal song in thrash makeup. if you ask me they never topped no life til leather or the hit the lights track on the oh what's it called comp. any help? i mean kill em all is great but not that great. ride the lightning is great too but kill is better. i do like all metallica albums (yes even st. anger now fuck off) but the demo's where the shit's at. but do get this album. it's really good. but don't think of it as a thrash album. i never got that. i mean most of the tracks aren't even fast. one thing i hate about this album is how damn long the songs are. please cut the songs in half and drop that instramental. anyway get this now.

the radiators from space enimys 7

a great irish band that doesn't sound irish at all. one of things that sets this band apart from most other punk bands is this band has a great singer. i mean just listen to him. backing vocals are great too. first track is one of my favorites of the punk genre (i mean pure punk) second track is good but well it's not enimys. nothing can be enimys. if you're in a band and even think of trying to make a song better than this don't. give up and do something else with your life. hpr has it. don't know how anyone can get this. hey zach how did you get this? enjoy

v/a behind the redwood curtain 7 ep comp

you know i have a feeling that blogs like this are the new version of the fanzine. 30 years from now i'm gonna put out a book of all thse posts. i know one person who'd buy a coppy. no not my parents stupid! well i just had to post something because soon zach is gonna catch up and we can't have that. just a little comp i got at mustard relics. oh this is all humboldt bands. underhand are good but a little on the pop punk side which is still okay i guess. one man running and grout rip shit up. i'm sorry if i'm not doing this in order. oh well it's my blog. couch is okay. worth a download.

apes of wrath s/t flexi

well some people have been on me ass (that's not a typo) about posting something new so to shut these people up i'll post just so they'll get off my back. haha just joking. anyway i found this at mustard relics which everyone should go to. very good um not hardcore but melodic punk from germany. this is an all girl band i guess. 7inchpunk also has it but unless you must go to that site get it somewhere else. i'm sure i'll never get a link from him but he's a fucking cunt. anyway this rocks. not too much to tell. the music kind of speaks for itself. enjoy and yes i'll post again.

Monday, July 26, 2010

yeah yeah

well i wanted to review something but couldn't think of anything. then i wanted to update you on the race weekend when i found out i got internet but i couldn't because the internet conection sucked. just a quick update. more later.

anal buffet cho's my bro cd

gonna give you some posts tonight because tomorrow i'm heading up north for some motorcycle racing. anyway this is one of the most anoying bands to research and i think you know why. a lot of porn comes up. very much an anal cunt clone band. pretty good but ac are better. still this is good and funny. if you don't know the anal cunt style (well the later anal cunt style) is all about insults. these guys attack everyone and everything. that's kind of what i like about these guys. not even that. it's the way thse bands infuriate people. can you not tell it's a joke? it's like that one band in the you weren't there movie. zach knows what i'm talking about. anyway raw grindcore. get this in a number of ways. don't really know else to say about this band.

school jerks demo

well here's a not so new discovery that i thought i'd pass on to you. i think this is the demo. oh and before i start sorry to zach about the mentally ill post. i was just reporting what i found out. no hard feelings dude. please don't stop coming back. anyway school jerks are a band out of canada and they just rip shit up. the singer reminds me of darby crash. they've put out two 7s as far as i know. i don't know ask them for one. they aren't too fast but really good just like the germs. don't know where you can get this but i want a hardcoppy. come on anyone? i've got a lot of organs. haha. no but get this any way you can. school jerks rule!

i hate this trimming the fat 7 ep

finally after 5 minutes of just sitting here this came up. great ney female fronted hc. even some blast beats which you know i love. what i really love is people who just do it without caring what it's called or if it exists. only problem is i can't. oh well more practice. this release is a compilation of songs from two splits they did. and what a great name. get it. is it still in print? oh well. oh this is the 250th post. i've been crankin these out like fuckin...things that crank things out. enjoy this record.

sand in the face s/t lp

this should get rid of one. sitf were a hc band from um i don't know. i really like this one. the band went the skrewdriver way if you know what i mean. i like the production on this one. someone called it arty. what? no art just fuckin punk. they had a couple tracks on the master tape II (did you like that one) double lp but i've never heard them. get this at last days. coming next the 250th post. who cares? to be honest probably noone.

ratos de poráo crucificados pelo sistema lp

i've been wanting to do this for a couple months. rdp were a hardcore band from brazil who later (like all the hc bands) went crossover. they actually rerecorded this in 2000 or so. the rerecording is okay but i think if this wasn't the first time i heard these songs i'd like the rerecording a little more. you know what i mean? i fuckin love this lp. great thrash. only problem is the guitars should stand out more. mustard relics has it. the only thing i know about this band is that they were like the first political band in brazil and i guess the singer said that rdp plays hardcore not punk. weird. anyway get this amazing ass record. i mean it's a must-have for any hardcore fan's collection. anyway it's almost the 250th post.

the offenders i hate myself/bad times 7

this record is just amazing. great guitar sound on this one. i hate myself is is a punk rock anthem with great lyrics and a great fucking sound. bad times isn't as good but still pretty damn good. mustard relics has it. he didn't write anything and that sucks. i love his writing. get this fucker if it's been reissued.

virus dark ages 12 ep

i had dark ages on heavy rotation for months but didn't know who the song was by or what record it was on. honestly i was surprised. when i think of new york hardcore i think of agnostic front and urban waste not this. and the singer has a cool accent but i didn't think it was from new york. this was the last release on the ratcage label in 1984. great fast and slow hc. last days has it. this is an amazing record so go get it. now.

egg hunt s/t 7

this is the project of ian and jeff of minor threat in 86? when they went to england. a serten smartass blogger thought i'd hate it. actually i thought i would too when i heard the description of this and i'm more of a smartass than he is. but i really like it. the first song me and you is good but not to interesting. good music but it's kind of like a big intro. we all fall down is quite good though. i'm not sure of the pressing info but i'd like to have it someday along with every record on my list. i guess ian and jeff really liked it and wanted to start it again when they got back to d.c but ian was concentrating on fugazi and nothing came of it. oh well get this fucker at hpr.

minor threat s/t 7 ep

10 months ago it was the first review on hpr and it's elliott's time to try. i loved this record but it just went away for me because i had discovered many other records and this one just well yeah. i still like it well i really like it but i don't love it. short fast and loud. wooo! only problem is that one song streight-edge. not the lyrical content although i do disagree but what it enspired. you all know what i mean. get this in a number of ways. it's been released along with the 2nd 7 on a 12 and it's been put on cd. don't know what i can say other than get it.

Mob 47 - Kärnvapen Attack (1984)

well here's a classic for you all to blindly consume. it's mob 47 with some amazing hc thrash. i actually heard protes bengt t3e little side project they had and you can tell it's the same band at lest it's the same mix with two guitars this time. damn that guitarest is amazing. vocals are great. i actually liked the guy on the protes bengt a little more but this guy grew on me. a little slower than p b but still fucking amazing and you must get this. i think it was reissued so get that but hpr (you know elliott sucks but better) has it. oh yeah and metal is not gay!

Wijlen Wij - Wijlen Wij (2007)

okay enough fast shit. time to slow it down. come to think of it this say be a little too slow. i mean a lot too slow. this is the only funeral doom metal album i have. funeral doom is well slow as fuck. i mean really fucking slow. not for everyday listening as it is really hard to get into but it can be done. let me give you an example of how slow it is. i was reading a review in mrr (look it up) on a sludge metal album and they said it stays in first gear. if that's first gear than this is reverse. but it's amazing. the first track is a very long intro that is just perfect. the music is well let me try. slow ass music, downtooned guitars, low whispery growls, and i think i heard a 27 minute song somewhere. they all kind of blend together to create this feeling of total emptyness. i don't know a lot about this genre but from what i've heard this band is some kind of supergroup. 6 song in 72 minutes. get it though if you want to see what i'm talking about. i mean it's not something you'll have on your cd player or mp3 player all the time but trust me. when the time comes you'll come back to it.

thoughts on ripping vinyl

i do rip uinyl but for a few reasons i cannot put it on my blog. that doesn't mean i don't go to other mp3 blogs. i've learned some things from them and i'd like to pass on some words on what you should and shouldn't do when posting mp3s. first please make them of good quality. that means it better sound like it does if i were to put on the vinyl at home. i'm speaking of corse of 7inch punk.com which i don't know why i bother as the site never posts new shit. some of the rips on 7inchpunk aren't bad and i'm glad i've found those mp3s. but some are just horible. like oh i don't know maybe all that shit that he got from a fucking tape. also unless it's a partnership don't just let any old guy post mp3s at least checak if they're good quality and if they're not reject the fucking post. fuck man it's not fucking rocket science. second don't post what you don't physicly own unless it's really fucking rare and you can't find that site anymore or for other good reasons but if it's just to post shit and say it's from your collection well just don't. if you want to post something you don't own for fucks sake tell us where you got it from. and just a little note. i'm not stealing this from erich's final conflict post. these are what i really believe. also another jab at 7inchpunk please don't remove files unless you're going to repost them or some guy asks you too. but if you must remove files please don't mislead people and take down the dead links. let's see what else. oh this is a big one. if you decide to do an mp3 blog please please please look into other options than mediafire or any of that shit. i get it. not everyone is like erich or peter. but what about archive.org? sure the argument can be made well peomle can take your rips from that site and post them on whatever blog they have or whatever. here's a fast solution. title the upload in some obscure thing that noone would guess. for example if i was going to rip and upload the germs album. it would ask me for a title and might put germsgilp. who the fuck is going to find that especially with how anal the search thing is. that's all i can think of. head over to gbm and the final conflict post for a much smarter take on what i said

violent children s/t 7 ep

great hc from when hc mattered. one of these guys wound up in youth of today a band which i kind of like in small doses. this is good metal free hardcore punk. some people complain about the guitar solos (guitar wanking you know) but honestly it's not that bad. not too much i can say. find it at your favorite site/store. i'm not sure if it's been reissued but if it has get it. that's all i can really say.

dorf demo

well after i said i'd post a lot of metal i'm back with a hardcore review. that proves how unscripted this is. anyway dorf were one of those humboldt california bands (great weed in those parts) that could compete with the best known hardcore bands. hell i'd much rather listen to this than damaged by black flag. i like that album slightly more than zach of hpr who fucking torched that album along with the first rf7 7 (i got an original i'd be happy to give up. only problem is someone didn't take care of it and it's fucked up) anyway this is fucking hc at it's best. when justin of mustard relics posted that i think i said it was good and that it. well i got a chance to listen again today. fuck me it's awesome. the guitar sound reminds me of that f.y.p 7 i reviewed back in march. good shit. get it or die! coming up? hmm i'm guessing another review maybe some more rants and some more of me saying if you read this comment. oh yeah and donate. not money but donate your music to get reviewed. you can find ne at my email which is all over this thing. do it now!

mayhem de mysteriis dom sathanas lp

zach's away for a week so it's the week that metal rules the blog! fuck that punk shit let's burn churches! wooooo! mayhem's first album and a fucking classic. i don't care what people say black metal sounds like now i love early 90s black metal. so here's a little backstory. if you want more on this be a man and look it up you bastards. anyway dead killed himself in 1991 so they needed a singer. they got some guy from hungery named attilla who played in one of the countless tormenters to fill in. necrobutcher (kickass name!) left the band so varg vikernes (i'm adding a fuck varg vikernes label just because) filled in on bass. vikernes is the man behind the one man band burzum so one could say burzum played bass hahaha. so that left hellhammer (another cool name) on drums and euronymous on guitar. i know about the band's nazi beliefs i just don't fucking care anymore. it's hard to care about that shit. not about them being nazis that's a horible thing but to obsess over that. it's like i said in that agnostic front post i hate people who are like that. i don't let anything stop me from liking music. but if i could i'd punch all of them in the fucking face. anyway varg killed euronymous in 1993 and yeah. i'm sure i'd talk more about that if it was fresh in my mind but i found this out about two-three years ago. what's interesting is that euronymous' parents asked hellhammer to remove varg's bass tracks from the album but he didn't. he says he turned them down but i think he was high and hit the up knob because unlike most metal where the bass is fucking nowhere to be seen (or heard i guess) his bass is right with the other guys. anyway i've wrote this much and i haven't even gotten to the music. first off the production. not as fuzzy as i like but still cold and dark. everything is mixed perfectly. don't know what more to say about that. music. hellhammer's drumming is amazing on this record. no triggered shit just raw black metal. varg plays the bass well but that's about it. great bass sound though. euronymous' guitar playing is great. thrash riffs with cool black parts and cool solos. finally we come to attilla. people have ragged on his vocals a lot. i think his voicce is just fucking perfect. i'm not even gonna describe it because every time i try i fail. just get this fucking album right now. i'm not touching on the whole historical thing but that's just bullshit. i don't care how historical it is. get this now! coming next? who the fuck knows. i don't.

just another update.

i'm thinking about recording another fucked up society demo. don't know why i'm telling you. i just took this test to see if you cuss a lot in your blog. that shit musd be fucking broken because it says i don't. fuck no i don't fucking cuss in my fucking blog. hahahahahahhah. see ya. review coming.

Friday, July 9, 2010

black flag six pack 12 ep

this is a good record but not great. never liked dez's voice then henry came and tried to sound like dez. my favorite on this record is the title track. it's not that great but if you black flag you'll like this. only three songs. could have fit on a 7 ep i think. oh well. i actually like damaged even though it is a bit anoying sometimes. this is slightly better than damaged. don't you think it's funny how damaged was made for one guitarest but they used two and the later black flag (which i like) is made for two guitarests but they only had one? anyway get this from somewhere. not that much to say about this.

the scrounngers!

i'm not even gonna describe this band. one of the best bands from the 90s. i want everything they put out! check it the fuck out or get the fuck out.

level s/t cd

god this sucks. just a bunch of wankers wanting to capitalise on the nu metal-rapcore thing. don't get me wrong i do like some nu metal but this sounds like some idiot band triing to make it big. it's not even the music that pisses me off so much. it's the fucking winy ass singer. i really can't describe it. sounds like a rapper/hip hop guy wanting to do nu metal vocs. he doesn't even sound like he's triing to be extreme or anything just like a wanker. there doesn't seem to be any web presents for this band so this album (put out in 2003) was a fucking flop as it should be. once you've heard the first track you've heard the whole album. boring as fuck. i hope these guys realise how much they suck and cry themselves to sleep cause they just are so fucking bad it's scary. but you have to give them some credit. never before have i heard a heavy record that made me want to kill and not in that cool oh this is so good and powerful way. this made me want to shut these guy up any way i could. so if you're in this band and your reading this i hate you. another thing. i do like some nu metal and i was just waiting for the songs to build into something. they never did. thanks. 30+ minutes of my life i'll never get back. anyway don't get this even as a download.

bruce banner i love fucked up noise 7 ep

ah yes the sound of hardcore in the morning. ah what a good sound. this was put out in 2000? i think. anyway this features the singer of protes bengt and filthy christians. pretty amazing guy. i didn't think it was him at first but that's only because i have yet to hear any filthy christians and the only thing i have to go by is the amazing protes bengt ep. the other guys are good too. i like all the samples. get this from somewhere. is this still in print? coming up my first (well i don't know if it's the first) bad review! want a taste? well fuck off cause you'll have to wait.

Tuesday, July 6, 2010

sea of shit 2009 demo

who said hardcore was dead? well everyone but anyway this is some great hc thrash. don't know shit about this band other then they rule. kind of metallic but maybe it's the downtooned guitars and the blast beats. get this from to live a lie records netlabel branch. if i was ever gonna release something it would be on that label and maybe the netlabel. speaking of which i want to start a netlabel with someone. a netlabel is a website where people send shit in and if we like it we would put it up for free somewhere. anyone interested? get this rager of a demo now! trust me you'll like it.

anti-cimex raped ass 7 ep

anti-cimex were a swedish hardcore band. don't know if this is crust or not but really good. if it is then it's right with amebix. the first ep is good too but just not crust enough for the mood i'm in haha. great raw sound on this one. i know some people don't like the discharge clones but i kind of do. anyway great fucking ep. get it at gbm. love the dumb lyrics too. these guys listened to discharge a lot i guess. get it and no zach this is better than the first ep.

Sunday, July 4, 2010

big black lungs 12 ep

man i hate it when people review stuff and they only tuch on what an influence it was and how extreme it was for it's time. i don't do that because i like to actually review the music. don't know why i wrote that. this is the first release by big black. and man it's amazing! the liner notes says that this record costs 4 dollars and anyone who charges you more is buttfucking you. well i spent 20 dollars on this. you can get this on vinyl so a sertin someone can check it out you purest. i think this was originally a demo. better get this used cause it's on the every wacky touch and go label. check this fucker out. i can't really describe big black's sound. just check on youtube for it.

shit!

well one of my favorite sites mad blasts of chaos somehow decided to posts all future lps in mediafire in .rar files. in other words i can't download it. and he just posted. and it's an lp. it sucks cause i can't even tell him in the comments section that he's not helping but hurting one of his readers who loves his blog because it's a blogspot thing and he has one of those type in the code things that i can't do. i can understand why you post the lps in .zip format but not on mediafire. so that's well that's just fuckin great. thanks for basicly spitting in my fucking face. and you too joe stumble. i don't understand why everyone's going the .rar way. hey i have no problem downloading 35 direct links. i've done it before. like the no core comp. i wish it was a zip file but it wasn't so i just sucked it up and did one file at a time. so yeah thanks all of you who post on mediafire, megaupload, rapidscam, or .rar files. don't know where i'm going with this. oh who cares noone reads this shit anyway. i guess i feel a little mad right now cause i can't get that shit. which is why i issue the following. if you have to post like that that's fine but don't expect me to say what a great record it is. i'll still read the post but aecause i can't download the fuckin music and these records go for hundreds on egay i have no way of getting that. it's not gonna change anything stg's still gonna post in .rar on media i wish it was on fire and i'll just be watching. and soon every blog and mp3 will be on those storege sites and i will no longer have access to the music i love til it comes out remastered on cd. and those records that are great but remain out of print forever oh well. i know it's the future of blogging and that's one of the reasons i stayed at mboc in the first place because he's one of the few blogs that isn't a total mediafire rapidscam blog. every blog i go to i go their because it's special. blogs with direct links are diing. and i'm so fucking glad i told mr. metalhater about the internet archive. his blog was already great but now i think it's one of the best blogs around. me? i'm just above 7inchpunk hahahahaha. no i'm not that low. anyway in conclusion storege blogs suck and it's kinda like a slap in the face for me. anyway bitchfest over.

Friday, July 2, 2010

home movies!

i own all four seasons on dvd. i'm watching it right now. best show ever! not sure why i'm writing this but i am. watch this show! coming next? probably something unless i hang it up now which i might do but maybe not.

Thursday, July 1, 2010

i hate you all!

not really. i finally got the motivation (i got out of bed) to continue this. oh and fuck the ramones! they suck. i can name 50 oldschool (kbd) punk bands that are way better. anyway reviews coming up. i'll try and give you at least one post a day. maybe more!

Wednesday, June 30, 2010

cause elliott is coming and scott's on my list!

any guess who the scott is? scott fuckin ian of anthrax. anthrax is a band that i've loved even when they were doing the rap thing. stormtroopers of death is one of the major influences on my music. but now scott ian guitar god of anthrax and s.o.d is teaming up with some x members of fallout boy and doing shitty hard rock. i feel personally insulted. here's a legend who's music (okay maybe it was that noise demo he did) has changed my life working with pop punk wankers who can't even play! that's right i've had the (dis)pleasure of listening to fall out boy and it's crap! just winy spoiled pop punk. i've even ran into scott once and he was pretty damn cool. so why this! ah well i'll download the album and review it. and if it sucks i will smash everything scott ian related i own. i not joking.

7 seconds skins brains and guts 7

is it a 7? if not i'll kill someone hahaha. this is back when they were a skinhead band. you can tell these guys listened to oi! a lot. i really like the drum sound on this. actually a little better than the second ep. and i love the second ep! what i really love about this band is the language. please 7 seconds keep saying fuck and shit a lot haha. i like this a little more than the later youth crew stuff. and remember kevin seconds is a pussy! although he still has a great voice. that's all for now.

hig hisler demo 3

not sure about the spelling on this one. he says it's from the simpsons but where? anyway this is hpr zach's third solo demo. cool punk jaz. he told me he was triing to sound like the minutemen (brian should like this) but it came out different. you can still hear the minutemen though. i don't know when the three demos were recorded but in my mind it goes like this. the first one was pure thrash like the neos (in fact it was almost exactly like the neos) the second one was a little different but still with thrash in it. this one isn't thrash but still very damn good. get it at his site.

skrewdriver you're so dumb 7

what can i say? great old school oi from england. i've already said a lot about skrewdriver in my other posts. two monster songs with a great sound. you're so dumb is slightly better than better off crazy but only slightly. the lyrics aren't the smartest but i find i agree with early skrewdriver about not wanting to be famous but whatever. kbd records has it. oh and best comments section ever!

garden weasel last studeo tape

well what better way to thank justin of mustard relics than reviewing garden weasel. if you didn't know he put my blog in his links. now i'll try to be totally objective. it's fucking awesome! objective enough for ya? this is the last time these amazing people performed together according to ed's (guitarest) blog. this is some of the fastest stuff i've heard by these guys. i'm not joking when i say justin has some one of the best voices in hardcore. he doesn't like it but i do. this band was a major influence for me to start my own thing along with of corse wd-40 and grout, gg allin, fear of god as well as well you guys should know my favorites by now. i'm actually looking for a coppy of the garden weasel ep as well as the jane maxwell band tape and some others. fuck i need to start a wanted list. except for the garden weasel ep i'd even take downloads of this shit. anyway enjoy this tape (it is a tape right) which is at mustard relics.

black flag jealous again 12 ep

got this from zach's hardcore punk reviews blog. go to that site if you want this blog but 1000000 times better. you could say i'm jealous cause he gets all the links and comments. well i am but not in a bad i'm gonna be a super dick way. believe me he's a good guy. anyway black flag's second ep and only one with ron on vocals. according to the fantastic kill from the heart website ron had a fiew problems and would leave midtake. he then quit bf midconcert but he went back and finished this ep. last time i heard he lives in canada and is a born-again christian. poor sod. anyway this ep rips and now i know white minority is not what the band believes i can enjoy that song. and even though he's not on vocals let me just say a fiew things about mr. hank. i watched some interviews with him. what a humorless dick. he even had the nerve to ask an interviewer "are you disrespecting me?" sounds like some very strict teacher or something the very same i hate. henry sucks. bigtime and yes i am disrespecting you you cocky prick. you weren't that good in the first place. soa is the shit but he was triing to sound like dez. but get this ep. it rips.

political trendy is no more

sorry zach but i had to do this. everyone calls it elliott sucks so i figured i could change the title to fit the link. i'm sorry if you don't like it and accuse me of selling out (ha ha ha) because i only did this to draw in more people. nothing else will change though. the blog will still be the same. now hopefully i will finally get more comments.

thoughts on reviews

you know it's fun to review and sometimes to read reviews. punk are better at reviewing than metalheads. sometimes if i don't totally agree with a review i can laugh about it. but some reviews are so damn stupid they make me want to strangle the person who wrote them and if i can't find them than whoever is closest to me. none of the blogs i go too has done that. i do ask some people what they mean in reviews. it's interesting how i can see this album one way and let's say zach from hardcore punk reviews or erich from good bad music sees it in a different way. and believe me people it doesn't hurt to try and understand why that person sees it that way. the only reason i'm typing this stream of shit is well i read a review on the metal archive website. the reviewer was reviewing dethklok's first album. all i could say is damn you need to not take everything so damn seriously. he pretty much got everything dead wrong what the show is about, what is satire and what is just a treat for the fans who read the signs in the show everything. i actually had to stop reading and do something else or it wouldn't have been pretty. i actually respond more to bad metal reviews than good ones. hell i've always liked the type of metal they hate (you know deathcore metalcore and nu metal?) and i love to say that. i get some shit for it but it's kind of a test to see who the douches are. i actually haven't had anyone stop talking to me and call me a fucking poser or something. ah crap where was i going? i don't know. i started with something and my brain just went off. oh well i'll never stop saying i like that shit. i would cll it a guilty pleasure but i love saying it just to see how people react. and don't worry i'm not giving up but it may be a different story if one of my favorite blogge'rs quits cause then well yeah. i don't have to fucking give my reasons. oh yeah my nwobhm collecting will come to a grinding stop so fucking fast you can't even think. anyway see ya.

pentagram fatal predictions/demoniac possession 7

it starts out with some cool thrash riffs then all hell breaks loose! pentagram were an early death metal band from chile. this 7 was released by a swiss label called chainsaw murder records. raw as fuck early death metal is what this is. the vocalest is what stands out. bloody hell those are some brutal vocals. they don't make em like they used too that's for sure. both songs were lifted from the band's first (or second i don't know) demo. someone put out a discography cd/vinyl that i'm getting. check it out at gbm but get the discography if you like what you hear. now!

slayer world painted blood cd

well i'm staying. and i'm writing a metal post because i can. i bought this after seeing slayer live. good show. i have heard everything slayer put out and i can honestly say i like it all even god hates us a2l and christ elusions. yeah i am a fanboy whatever whatever fuck off. this album is well it's slayer. it sounds like slayer. the vocals are good (he's lost his great voice so now he shouts) the drums are good the bass is um well i guess it's there but i have no idea. i like the mix of this album. guitar's nice but the solos are crap. i like that it's a short album. with metallica putting out 75 minute long albums (which are very good but are a bit long) it's nice to see a band put out a 40 minute album. overall if you want something different from what slayer usually puts out don't get this. but if you want a decent slayer album get this. not too important but good.

what's wrong?

well i don't want to sound winy but i need post this. this blog has had a lot of little problems. i didn't get the blog url i wanted, i deleted the damn thing and couldn't start over, i can't post mp3s of the records i own, i can't post comments, and well that's about it. you know when i first started this thing i had one thing in mind. talkin music with other people. i'm so fucking thankfull for all the comments i've ever gottin and to tell you truth comments keep me going. but i thought i'd at least have two regulars. i actually know the reason. let's face it. how many punk blogs exist? thousands hundreds of thousands. and the fact that i can't even post pics doesn't help. i deon't if i'll continue this thing. i'm not trying to be winy but it's true. thanks to all who made this special. now i'm saying i don't think. don't stop checking up and for the love of satan (ha ha) don't stop leaving comments! maybe i'll start another blog called worthless shit blog or something.

agnostic front cause for alarm lp

i'm not even gonna get into the whole nazi thing cause it's pointless. with all these pc idiots complaining about nazism i think i'll check out later skrewdriver. i have more respect for someone who listens to right wing music but doesn't believe in the lyrics and doesn't care about the lyrics than all these idiotic punks who are all "if the music doesn't totally agree with what i say then i'm not listening." anyway on to the record. i don't actually have the first lp but i have the 7 i reviewed it a long time ago. this is much more metal influenced stuff. the next two albums were the same then i think they went back to hardcore. i still think what would of happened if they became a real crossover band. and yes crossover is metal with punk in it not half and half. dri actually went total metal on the last album. ssd went the hard rock (i call it barf rock cause the only hard rock band i like is the runaways) way. great punk metal from new york. if you're a pure punk nazi like someone i know and don't even like a little metal in your music then stay away. but if you do like a little metal then get it. coming up next whatever i want! i have no clue what i'll review next.

gg allin gimme some head 7

well you should all know about gg from my blog and where he stands on my list. two grat fucking garage punk songs from this master of punk. the backing band is very interesting. two guys from mc5 and two dudes from the jabbers his band at the time. gimme some head is just amazing with those little solos and dead or alive is just as good but a little different. you should all get this and get everything by this guy. kbd has it. and tell him elliott sent you.

gism detestation 12

alright so no more scool for a while. i finished my final early so i could listen to records. this is gism. that's it. ok not really. distorted as fuck guitar raw bass amazing drums and the greatest voice in punk metal. yes this has a lot of metal in it but whatever. and if you don't like that your a bad person. and to all death metal singers if you want the best voice in death metal look to gism. funny isn't it that the best death metal voice doesn't sing in a death metal band? oh i have a lot more to say about this album but i won't. just listen for yourself. you can find it in no time. now dis dis destroy!

r.i.p. corpse candy

well according to my sorses corpse candy is no more. if you don't know who they are you suck. anyway i reviewed them a long ass time ago. so sad.

protes bengt in bengt we trust 7 ep

well i have a big test tomorrow but as someone probably said once "i don't really give a shit i want to listen to punk." well summer is almost here. for some that means a vacation and going away. for me however that means i'm gonna be posting a lot more. anyway on to the post. holy fuck! swedish thrash at it's best. 32 songs of mayhem right before grindcore exploded. the singer (i don't know if he can be called singer) from filthey christians is in this band as well as the guys from the amazing mob 47. get the fucker from gbm. actually not much to say about the music except for play really fuckin loud. i mean so loud they can hear you around the block. trust me that's the best way to play it. actually the singer is in some band called bruce banner. great new hardcore. so check this fucker at. gbm has it. oh and a little pressing info. according to erich 1000 were made. they asked for 1000 more but the record guys fucked up and pressed more of the mob 47 ep so they sold that. i don't know anything about if it's been repressed but check it out. now.

undertaker world demonation demo tape

wow. just put this this on and i said you have to review it! what a monster of a tape released in like 1989 or something. i know a little about this band. they have another tape which is just as good as this which i'll review later. anyway what we have is some good ole metal with death metal mixed in. it's amazing. favorites are the whole damn tape but hellamentary school is a standout. and so are the other four tracks. wait if all 5 stand out then nothing stands out. oh fuck it just get it at last days of man on earth.

another update with no interesting title

well i'm not where i should be right now (some place where access to the web is imposible for me) so what's the best thing to do? post! that's right. i have nothing to do (thinking about going back to sleep) so i'm posting. was listening to the le mans previews on radio le mans. now i'm looking for more shit to review. i sometimes take out a record and say "oh i'll review this" only to realise that i already have. it sucks too. i blame it all on whoever is reading this garbage. why are you still reading? coming up some metal and some punk. and some rants. oh and i love what erich said about comments. check his powerage post. it means a lot to get comments even if it's just saying thanks or cool. i know my blog isn't the best (in truth it's pretty lacking) but it's all i can do. and i'm sorry i can't put up pictures. or mp3s. ok enough of the wining check my blog out and fucking comment. don't be a dick. ok i'm done. review coming.

live albums

well here's a little rant to keep pt alive and well. why i hate live albums. first you don't even get the whole show you get some songs. well i can think of some albums that were actually the whole show but that's beca8ce they only played for 30 minutes. second when i listen to a live album or go to a show i want lots of fuckups and sloppy ass playing. just listen to the germs live record. this has got to be one of my favourite live records ever. but when you hear some big band do a live album where are the fuckups? nowhere. also the sound on these recordings isn't raw enough. third when i go to a show i want to hear the members of the band say stupid shit. no i don't like getting the croud pumped either but i like it when bands just talk about stupid shit in betreen songs. so you can keep your live records. oh and what's your favorite live band/record?

germs lexicon devil 7 ep

well here's the other germs single. i like this a little less than the forming single but it's germs so it's still very good. and that guitar sound! i guess pat didn't own an amp (how did he play on forming) so the producer was supposed to bring an amp but forgot so they plugged the thing into the board. and the result is just amazing. get this from kbd. and get that discography just to have it really it's crap. enjoy.

nog watt fear 7 ep

well i'm back with a lot mree reviews. this is great all girl hardcore (didn't know that existed) with a great mound. great vocals. had to get this at 7inchpunk. i'm glad this doesn't have some very long name. great and fast. like the drums on this. get it now and thrash.

irl texas preview

not to much to say on this one. conway probably won't be back and i don't know about hunterrey (sorry about the misspelling) other than that it's a boring isc track. i'm probably not gonna even watch it. i'll catch the highlights. and about the winner who cares? will power doesn't have a chance in hell at winning on these kind of tracks (hey will i like you so surprise me) so i know who it's gonna be. more later. i'll come back with propper spelling (i can't spell) and i'll review another album.

hey race fans!

well all of you (meaning zach) who come to this site probably know of my love of all things punk and metal and powerpop. well in order to continue bringing the great writing you know and love (don't laugh) while i revamp my musical collection let me tell you about my other huge love. racing. not just nascar but all kinds of motor racing from cars to boats and even monster trucks (no radio le mans team monster trucks are racing. just not the freestyle crap.) let me show you how much i love racing. well i've always been a fan of cart/champ car. couldn't go to a lot of races but i always watched it on tv. i was at the california speedway in october of 1999 when a great driver by the name of greg more was killed. i didn't know what to think at the time cause i was very young. but now every time i think of the crash (i can't see but i heard about it) i get chills. or how about jeff krosnoff in 1996? but anyway when that bullshit takeover by the irl happened i still watched the irl as some of my favorite drivers were racing but i went to sports cars. i began really watching that stuff. and what's coming up? the 24 hours of le mans the greatest race ever. the indy 500 has nothin on that race. hell the 500 hasn't been the same in 15 years. and paul tracy won the race in 02. anyway i will be bringing racing into the blog. i'm sure the punks will hate this. please leave hate comments. i want hate comments! and i've added a new labal called racing. coming up the nog watt 7.

the shivvers remember tonight 7

i think this exists but i'm not to sure. the by now famous shivvers (well famous on political trendy) briefly reformed in 1989 and recorded two more fantastic songs. lead singer jill kossoris still has that geat fucking voice. btw i'm trying to get that solo album she did in 2005. the reformation didn't last to long because of the guys died of cancer or something not too long afterword. i 've forgottin what happened please fill me in. remember 1tonight is a rerecording and is even better than the first one which appears on that lost hits cd i reviewed not to long ago. damn i wish i could post mp3s for some of these. or at least links to where you can get them. oh well i'll tell you the site and you can do a google search or buy it. however this one isn't on any blog. shame really. basicly all i'm saying is buy that cd before i come after you and kill you with whatever genre of music you hate unless i hate it too. so mr. metalhater i'll kill you with metal. lots and lots of metal. one more thing. as you probably noticed the posts have somewhat declined in the past few months. school dranes the fuck out of me. but i don't have school today so i'm posting a lot. so don't worry if it's been a few days and i haven't posted. unless this damn computer breaks again. that was the longest month of my life. and another thing. i'm still looking for the jane maxwell band tape. if you have it please contact me at ellindamood@gmail.com or if you haven't contacted me before and you just want to say hi or thanks or something do that. oh and i get the funnyest spam emails. one of them was from a bot posing as a born again christian wanting to give me money if i used it to build a church or something. oh how i wished it was a real person so i could just explode and give her my take on religion. if your god exists he is evil. he delights in your torment and he ain't gonna save you. if god is real he is a sadistic fuck who uses you all as some kind of players in some fucked up game where he has you all kill each other and suffer wile he jacks off to the immages of starving children and mutilation. so yeah keep those spam emails coming. and hey if you're some superchristian nutjob email me too. i would love to debate stuff with you. i'm gonna be killed for this. over and out.

black flag nervous breakdown 7 ep

you know how you can just picture some songs being played during drunken rampages? this is one of them. black flag's first (and probably the best although i also like later black flag stuff.) Kith Morris later of the circle jerks is singing and i'm gonna say he is the best singer black flag ever had. that's right. fuck off. i don't even want to hear it. anyway i had heard nervous breakdown a hundred times before but i was never sick of it. the other three songs are just as good. actually wasted took some time to grow on me. i put this on at school when i was supposed to be doing some asignment in biology. this braille computer has a media player and a head phone jack. but if anyone asks i'm a good kid who does everything the school says. hpr has this but i'm not done. what a great guitar sound. no this is not hardcore. it's just good ole snotty 77 punk in 78 or as zach would call it kbd punk. i just call it punk because that's what it is. you can hear more of this recording session on the and everything went black cd which i highly recomend. good outtakes. the other songs that they recorded around this time are gimme gimme gimme, i don't care (early version of you bet we've got something against you or whatever it's called. i don't care would later be found on the first circle jerks lp with different lyrics) no values and white minority (love the music hate the lyrics.) just think if they put all eight tracks out as a 12 ep! also you can find another session with keith on vocals. it's five tracks and is almost like a demo. it features police story and wasted (slightly faster as it was recorded later than the one on the ep) but the vocals and guitar are pretty low in the mix as is the bass. good session though. but i'm not reviewing that album! damnet you let me go off track again! anyway get this monster and play it next time you're on a drunken rampage.

200th post!

i was going to review something but thought this would be better. i know 200 is like who cares but i just love the fact that i survived this. it's been a fun ride filled with noone giving a fuck about what i say. and hopefully it will continue to be fun. now for the thanks. first of all to erich of fear of god and good bad music (sorry i couldn't link that) for being cool and putting my blog on his blogroll. i'll probably change the title to elliott sucks. second i would like to thank justin of mustard relics. thanks for being cool and putting up with my stupid fanboy comments. also to ed and brian of the great hardcore band garden weasel. thanks for reading and commenting. and a big thank you to zach of the amazing hardcore punk reviews blog. thanks for well for everything. and thanks to all my friends for being weird and maybe reading. if you read this comment or email me. and to peter of kbd records just for being so cool. btw everyone needs to check out that interview with peter on some podcast of which i can't remember the name. that's about it. if i forget anyone sorry. not to much to say other than i love doing this blog and hope to continue if the pigs don't shut me down or kill me hahaha. see ya.

crass the feeding of the 5000 12 ep

or is it lp? ah fuck anyway this is the only post tonight because the next post is the 200th post on political trendy. so many people that need thanks but let's wait for that. crass. that's all i really need to say is crass. but if i must say more this album has it all. great political statements, great music and vocals, some spoken word parts, and a great mix. punk is dead is always at the top of my list of great songs. and the anti religion songs are just as good. and banned from the roxy. what can i say about that song? the vocals sound like a cooler johny rottin. this is actually the only crass record i have. i must get more right after the other bands on my list of get more of. the only thing that's sort of a bad thing is the second and last track are basicly the same song but that song is just a killer it doesn't matter. i should review some of the other bands on the crass records roster like the mob or zounds. it's on mustard relics but you really should get this. and funny story about track one. apparently it was removed on the second press because of it's content (just listen to it) and replaced with a three minute track called the sound of free speach which was just silence. thankfully you can hear that track now. get it! now! now i'm gonna look for some powerpop.

gg allin watch me kill 7 ep

well today i was thinking of what to post. i started looking through my favorite (for now) bands. first came the shivvers. i actually do have one more record i need to review put out in 1989 i guess but i need to really listen to it. i'll do it just for eric. and no dude shivvers are way better than kiss. actually i hate those kind of arguments when you take two bands of totaly different genres (or two bands in general) and say "oh this band is way better than that." let it go. next came the germs. is it germs or the germs? i've seen both and heard both. i have the band's second 7 to review. i'll do that later. a lot more bands followed and basicly i said the same to every band i thought of. i'll do it later. so i was hopelessly lost when watch me kill came on. "yes" i said "i'll review this." raw as fucking shit punk rock with a bad i mean bad recording. and that's just the way it should be. hell on slaughterhouse deathcamp (great fucking title) you can't hear for shit what he saying. all the songs on hear are classics. i know this will offend the political punk nazis (that's right i called you anti racists nazis) and that's just the way i like it. i mean i'm pretty damn left but i don't have a stick up my ass. or if i do it's a very small one that i can't feel. so if you're one of those people just go away. don't even waste your or my time on this blog. ok now that those fucks are gone everyone who i haven't scared off should get this record. now!

Monday, May 24, 2010

political trendy is dead!

well no but i feel dead. posts coming up including a recap of the big fucking race i went too up in northern california. and let's not forget what's coming up. the greatest race ever. the 24 hours of le mans. and let me also say during the race radio le mans did a great job. review of the race and some records are coming.

gwar we kill everything cd

okay people, this is a total rereview of this cd. it's may 2014 now and I just saw a typical idiotic review on metal archives of this release so let's counteract it with an openminded review of this album. this is gwar's 7th album released in 1999. they hadn't really been a full metal band for some time. this is a weird mix of genres. rather than just do a basic review I'm gonna do a track by track thing to give you an idea of what this album is like 1, babyraper. title says it all, it's about oderus raping babys. no it's not smart or witty but what do you expect? musicly this is almost hardcore punk with maybe a hint of metal. very fast, kicks things off to a nice start. mix is very good. solos rule. good song 2, fishfuck. again the title says it all. this ain't gonna be a look into the deepest corners of the human mind. musicly it's pretty much punk rock..and I love it. always makes me chuckle. 3, the performer. one of the best songs on the album, this is a ska punk song that's very melodic. I can't help but to sing along with this whenever it plays. great funny song. now we get into the album story concept. gwar had a mythos which is very interesting and the album is kind of the culmination of those mythos. if you don't know what I'm talking about..look it up 4, a short history of the end of the world. okay..fuck me if this isn't a great instrumental. it's pure metal and man is it good..no other way to describe it, it's really..good. amazing stuff. great guitar lines 5, escape from the mooselodge. originally titled the needel with different lyrics that was on some obscure gwar single, this has good music and interesting lyrics as the scene is set for the story to come which involvs the master coming back. good song but not that melodic 6, tune from da moon. scrota moon, a scumdog with a ballsack for a chin, somes to earth with a tablet and gwar breaks it. scrota sings this song which is a reworking of the song minute to live by death puiggy. punk stuff, very nice. the keyboard is a bit weird but hell, it doesn't detract from the song 7, jiggle the handle. we meet the portal potty, which is pretty much what it sounds like..it feeds on shit and can bring forth things. yeah...an interesting song because 5 different people sing on this song. it works. oh and don't try to flush a dead sheep down him because who knows what could arise? well as seen in the movie it's sleezy, gwar decides to test scrota and what's the test 8, nitro burnin funny bong. ah sweet youth, blablabla you know the lyrics....I've never gotten high to this but I'm pretty sure it could be fun. scrota gets high, that's what happens in this song. musicly it's punk that sticks in your mind and never lets go. I heard this more than 7 years ago and can still sing it even after months of not hearing it. great song 9, jagermonsta. this song is about scrota getting drunk, and in the film it's sleezy the jagermonsta is some creature who cuases drunkenness wherever he goes. musicly this is punkmetal. double bass heavy and very good. tan original member of the band plays a solo on this which is pretty cool. so scrota ends up diing. and they need to get him back to life to fix to tablet because if they don't the world will end..oh shit! what will they do? 10, my girly ways. call in slymenstra of corse. she really does have a good voice and I wish they gave her more songs. the reviewer said this sounds like a lost kittie track..I've never heard the band but if this sounds like them they can't all be bad. seriously this is not a bad track. musicly this is metal? sort of..pretty good track. 11, the master has a butt. one of the..dumbest names on the album and supposed to be making fun of pop country. this tells of oderus' relationship with the master. not bad, a little different which is actually a good thing. silly as hell but hey. 12, we kill everything. this is the title track and is almost 7 minutes long. tells of how gwar defetes the master. I can only guess that someone thought that this would be the last gwar album. especially from the lyrics..this is an interesting song, not really silly but very good, some cool music parts. not sure what genre they were going for here. still I like it. we'll kill everything, including ourselves! so that's the end of the album...or the story anyway. they somehow decided they'd have a story for this album but only for a few tracks and make the rest of the album about gwar's sex and drugs 13, child. a good rocker about oderus impregnating an audience member by mistake. not too much to say about this one. it's a rock song and isn't bad at all 14, penile drip. this song is fanfuckingtastic. dave does his brack empression and the bass hits random notes. the song bounces along and is very enjoyable to listen too..dave's brack empression is spot on 15, mary ann. this is another one of those songs that the loser ripped apart on metal archives claming it's a watered down pop punk song. no shit, it's a love song, sung by ballsack about his dead love mary ann. it's a good song, ballsack has a good voice, and the lyrics are almost touching..really. pop punk song..what did you expect? they're making fun of love songs you dumb metalhead 16, friend. this song is enjoyable but is so short. not much to say other than I kill you! 17, fuckin an animal. this song is something I shall sing when I'm drunk as shit...bouncy, catchy, if you don't like this song then I don't like you. great way to end this album. no it's not a deep song about dreams and science but I wouldn't want it that way conclusion, if you like metal and only metal and don't like punk, first off go fuck yourself second you won't like this. if you enjoy punk and don't mind dumb lyrics you'll love this. the lyrics don't take away from this album at all. underrated classic

filth live the chaos 7 ep

well i haven't posted in a while so rather than you think i'm dead i'm coming back. it's almost the big 200. as in 200 posts. can't wait. anyway great hate filled crust from northern california. this is the kind of music that just makes me smile. but the vocalest is something else. i mean that guy sounds like he's girgling glass. it's just amazing. afi also liked filth. you know before they went all emo and shit. mustard relics has it but please please go buy a reissue so these label fucks don't think the kids are all about downloading. tell you something. if something ever appears with me it and it's being sold anywhere don't buy it cause i had nothing to do with it. thank you and good fucking night. oh this will not be the lst post tonight.

bad religion into the unknown lp

well i'm gonna out myself again. as you know i'm a huge bad religion fan and have everything the band has put out and even my least favorite of the 14 albums and two or three eps is still an amazing fucking record. this is the band's second album and is not punk but prog rock. if my least favorite (i don't even know what my least favorite is) is an amazing record this is one of the greatest records i own. no this won't sit well with you all punk freaks but for us who are openminded this is amazing. this is the only prog rock record i own and i love it so much. and no eric i got into this record in 2008 before powerpop but i think this was the start of my branching out. so if you don't like the new me blame bad religion. anyway 10000 of these were pressed and as bret says he sent out 10000 and got 11000 back. people didn't like this. hahaha punks are weird but i can understand. i mean how could hell be any worse? was a great album. so you'd think the follow-up to it was gonna be even better hardcore and what do you get? keyboard prog rock. so they just sent it back. i don't know i really like it. good lyrics music is awesome and with that bad religion feel. i know these guys get played on the radio but i don't care buy all br releases. and get this album from wherever you can. oh and this is the 194th (i think) post. 200th coming soon!

please can you help?

i'm looking for a domo by a band from humboldt california band called jane maxwell band. can you help? thanks.

sins of the flesh greed lp

and greed is the word for our capitalist system. anyway great record put out in 1988. crust crossed with death metal. it really works. kinda basic but still great. got this off that great website mustard relics. no i'm not kissing ass his site is amazing 5000000 times better than my shithole blog. but fuck i love my blog. the vocals remind me of venom a little. ultra fast and great sound to the record! metal haters will not like this basicly everyone who comments on my blog. i do not expect any comments on this. but you need to get this if you like crust crossed with death metal. enjoy it.

intestinal disgorge whore splattered walls cd

alright probably the most vile record i own.one of my many internet archive downloads. what we have is some good grind "music" with fast drumming and distorted guitars. at first i thought it was cybergrind record with samples of music. wrong. but the vocals. the one reason i can't fully love this album is the vocals. the lead parts are awesome with death growls. but the high screams possibly coming from some girl they're torchering in the studio are just too much. oh and just as a legal thing i do not know if any girls were torchered in the recording of this album. now human rights guys won't come after me hahaha. but back to the review. man those screams are good at first but just get so anoying. i don't know if it's a male or female or if it's amp feedback. wouldn't surprise me either way. the song titles are just trying to offend but that doesn't bother me. actually they seem to try a little hard to be shocking but it just winds up being funny. and the rumbling vocals that go along with the high screams aren't needed. so guys please just stop those screams and rumbles and i'll love your record. get it though. as i said it's good grind. and yes as the first song's opening says "this is fucked up!"

thrasho de mayo

i'm not gonna say much except that if you ever go to the ultra violet social club just don't. don't give them your money and don't give them anything except a kick in the fucking head. i don't care if people from the club tell me to remove this. i'll fucking take you all on right now and i'm not kidding. i'm so pissed at these fuckheads i could ram my head through a brick wall. i shouldn't even be here right now. basicly what happened is i went to a show when i realised i was starving cause i hadn't eaten today and i wanted to buy a demo. i get out of the club hoping to dash to the local 7-11 to get some cash when i'm told i can't get back in. i was gonna give you my money but instead i'm giving you a fist to the fucking face. and the guard is a dick.

optional death practice tape

before you read this i'll tell a little about this review. i had published this on my old song meanings journal along with a few others. this was the only review i actually feel proud of and even then i made some changes. enjoy.

yes your lord and master is back with another review. this time it's a band i got into a few days (well now it's been about five months) ago called optional death. optional death is a thrash metal band that used to be called warfare then they lost the drummer. i have never heard warfare before (yes i have now good shit) but this rips. some great guitar parts. however mr. metalhater won't like this haha. go to http://www.archive.org and download the whole tape. this is the only thing they recorded. it's an hour long and it has 16 tracks. what more do i need to say? recorded in 1989 it's some baddass thrash. if you don't download this i'll be a sad panda. over and fuck off.

gwar hell-oe lp

well you all know gwar as that crazy band with masks who play some some kickass metal punk whatever music. this is gwar's first album. gwar mutated from death piggy who i think i reviewed a while ago. this lp is mostly punk with a little metal. come to think of it is it really metal or hawkwind rock. i'm a huge gwar fan and love all 11 albums but this has to be one of the best. what's cool about this is that mr. i hate metal might actually dig this. also the band's mythos aren't really explored. instead you get some cool punk metal with nasty lyrics. i'm in love with a dead dog is a good one. anyway check this shit out. one more thing. i really like the production on this. some people don't but i do.

discharge fight back 7 ep

yes the amazing discharge. we all know them right? the band's second ep and it's a fucking monster. simple as fuck with one drum itile throughout. we all know which one it is. the lyrics are moronic at best. i mean this band has lyrics like "smash the fuck out of the fucking system." what? it's still amazing though. you can find it anywhere. every blog has it and it's probably been reissued. get it when you can. another thing about this record is how short it is. but anyway get it.

burn the priest s/t lp

or you may know them as lamb of god. as you probably have guessed i'm not above liking mainstream metal. i really like old and new lamb of god. this doesn't sound like new log at all. great post thrash/grindcore from the same town as gwar, white cross, and municipal waste. i don't care if they're on a major label i like what i like got it? the vocals are well i can't tell what he's saying but i like it. on the followup this guy was drunk when he recorded the vocals. mainly screems and shit you know new metal. i miss the NWOBHM. chris is a great drummer which you don't get to see on later releases. as i said i like all log stuff but the old stuf is better. but wrath is a good album. anyway the guitar and bass sound is just massive whenever you can get this shit. and don't worry punk posts are coming soon. i like metall too though so fuck off.

life's blood 1988 demo

good hardcore after hardcore's end. this band i think was from new york and just rip. new york had a great sound. makes you want to fight. kind of reminds me of the psychos a little for some reason. i think it's at punk obitchuary along with the 7 i will have to review. only thing about this tape is it's over so fast (8 minutes) but that's not always a bad thing. enjoy this.

sin34 dye laughing 7

well it's my last post ever on this blog. goodbye. ok who actually believed that? gahahahahahaha! this blog is never gonna dye. no matter how much you try to kill it the fucker just won't stay dead. anyway sin34 was a great female fronted hc band. i like these types of bands because they're so rare but they totally rock. hell i don't care if you're a man woman dog or cat if you can rock i will listen. i think you already figured that out by now. anyway her voice is great. the music is good la hardcore. get this. gbm has it. look for a reissue too. i shouldn't have to say that.

typical holland farm scene demo 2

this is really a great tape. slopy as all hell but great. this demo has zach of fucked up society and hardcore punk reviews on drums and some other guy on guitar. just really short fast and simple hc from canada. what's not to like? these guys don't want to keep time with each other but that's great. and what's with the blast beats? 12 songs and it's over so fast. you can find it by typing in thfs in the archive.org search field. another thing this doesn't have is no vocals but that's not a bad thing. now mosh your head off.

the circle jerks goup sex lp

well it was either this or one of my favorite tapes featuring a very good friend of this blog on drums. anyway i chose this because i just saw circle jerks live with crossover thrash band municipal waste and 7 seconds. municipal waste was my favorite but the other bands (i think i'm leaving out a band sorrry) ripped shit up too. but this record is just amazing. i mean 14 songs in 15 minutes and they call it an lp but the first dri ep is 17 minutes and it was first released as an ep. this record is the band's best and just kills. every song is amazing and not long at all. every punk should have this. after this the band was just ok but still play live well. probably because i didn't see them. anyway go get it on vinyl or cd if you must. oh and kevin seconds is a pussy with his anti violence shit that i saw at the show. he was all "if your gonna fight we're not playing" and all this shit. oh boo fucking hoo people were fighting. grow up! i hate you youth crew shits so much. so yeah i like 7 seconds a lot but i don't like the youth crew bullshit. anyway i'm gonna stop.

germs GI lp

this one goes out to johny a faceless commenter on kbd records. all i can say is hahahahaha. what a dick. dude i didn't get this off the net i got it from amoeba on vinyl. also i can't upload jack shit. so go listen to your ramones records you pussy. anyway we all know this album right? well i didn't until sunday. i loved and still love the early germs but i had to get this. produced by one of the runaways this is just awesome. i'd say the second hardcore record ever the first being the first release by the middle class another la band. and did anybody notice how the poison idea singer was influenced by darby crash? not fast but fucking powerful as shit. don't get the cd reissue of this get it on vinyl along with everything they did. oh and give that johny guy a hug for me.
