hey race fans!
well all of you (meaning zach) who come to this site probably know of my love of all things punk and metal and powerpop. well in order to continue bringing the great writing you know and love (don't laugh) while i revamp my musical collection let me tell you about my other huge love. racing. not just nascar but all kinds of motor racing from cars to boats and even monster trucks (no radio le mans team monster trucks are racing. just not the freestyle crap.) let me show you how much i love racing. well i've always been a fan of cart/champ car. couldn't go to a lot of races but i always watched it on tv. i was at the california speedway in october of 1999 when a great driver by the name of greg more was killed. i didn't know what to think at the time cause i was very young. but now every time i think of the crash (i can't see but i heard about it) i get chills. or how about jeff krosnoff in 1996? but anyway when that bullshit takeover by the irl happened i still watched the irl as some of my favorite drivers were racing but i went to sports cars. i began really watching that stuff. and what's coming up? the 24 hours of le mans the greatest race ever. the indy 500 has nothin on that race. hell the 500 hasn't been the same in 15 years. and paul tracy won the race in 02. anyway i will be bringing racing into the blog. i'm sure the punks will hate this. please leave hate comments. i want hate comments! and i've added a new labal called racing. coming up the nog watt 7.

the shivvers remember tonight 7
i think this exists but i'm not to sure. the by now famous shivvers (well famous on political trendy) briefly reformed in 1989 and recorded two more fantastic songs. lead singer jill kossoris still has that geat fucking voice. btw i'm trying to get that solo album she did in 2005. the reformation didn't last to long because of the guys died of cancer or something not too long afterword. i 've forgottin what happened please fill me in. remember 1tonight is a rerecording and is even better than the first one which appears on that lost hits cd i reviewed not to long ago. damn i wish i could post mp3s for some of these. or at least links to where you can get them. oh well i'll tell you the site and you can do a google search or buy it. however this one isn't on any blog. shame really. basicly all i'm saying is buy that cd before i come after you and kill you with whatever genre of music you hate unless i hate it too. so mr. metalhater i'll kill you with metal. lots and lots of metal. one more thing. as you probably noticed the posts have somewhat declined in the past few months. school dranes the fuck out of me. but i don't have school today so i'm posting a lot. so don't worry if it's been a few days and i haven't posted. unless this damn computer breaks again. that was the longest month of my life. and another thing. i'm still looking for the jane maxwell band tape. if you have it please contact me at ellindamood@gmail.com or if you haven't contacted me before and you just want to say hi or thanks or something do that. oh and i get the funnyest spam emails. one of them was from a bot posing as a born again christian wanting to give me money if i used it to build a church or something. oh how i wished it was a real person so i could just explode and give her my take on religion. if your god exists he is evil. he delights in your torment and he ain't gonna save you. if god is real he is a sadistic fuck who uses you all as some kind of players in some fucked up game where he has you all kill each other and suffer wile he jacks off to the immages of starving children and mutilation. so yeah keep those spam emails coming. and hey if you're some superchristian nutjob email me too. i would love to debate stuff with you. i'm gonna be killed for this. over and out.
black flag nervous breakdown 7 ep
you know how you can just picture some songs being played during drunken rampages? this is one of them. black flag's first (and probably the best although i also like later black flag stuff.) Kith Morris later of the circle jerks is singing and i'm gonna say he is the best singer black flag ever had. that's right. fuck off. i don't even want to hear it. anyway i had heard nervous breakdown a hundred times before but i was never sick of it. the other three songs are just as good. actually wasted took some time to grow on me. i put this on at school when i was supposed to be doing some asignment in biology. this braille computer has a media player and a head phone jack. but if anyone asks i'm a good kid who does everything the school says. hpr has this but i'm not done. what a great guitar sound. no this is not hardcore. it's just good ole snotty 77 punk in 78 or as zach would call it kbd punk. i just call it punk because that's what it is. you can hear more of this recording session on the and everything went black cd which i highly recomend. good outtakes. the other songs that they recorded around this time are gimme gimme gimme, i don't care (early version of you bet we've got something against you or whatever it's called. i don't care would later be found on the first circle jerks lp with different lyrics) no values and white minority (love the music hate the lyrics.) just think if they put all eight tracks out as a 12 ep! also you can find another session with keith on vocals. it's five tracks and is almost like a demo. it features police story and wasted (slightly faster as it was recorded later than the one on the ep) but the vocals and guitar are pretty low in the mix as is the bass. good session though. but i'm not reviewing that album! damnet you let me go off track again! anyway get this monster and play it next time you're on a drunken rampage.

200th post!
i was going to review something but thought this would be better. i know 200 is like who cares but i just love the fact that i survived this. it's been a fun ride filled with noone giving a fuck about what i say. and hopefully it will continue to be fun. now for the thanks. first of all to erich of fear of god and good bad music (sorry i couldn't link that) for being cool and putting my blog on his blogroll. i'll probably change the title to elliott sucks. second i would like to thank justin of mustard relics. thanks for being cool and putting up with my stupid fanboy comments. also to ed and brian of the great hardcore band garden weasel. thanks for reading and commenting. and a big thank you to zach of the amazing hardcore punk reviews blog. thanks for well for everything. and thanks to all my friends for being weird and maybe reading. if you read this comment or email me. and to peter of kbd records just for being so cool. btw everyone needs to check out that interview with peter on some podcast of which i can't remember the name. that's about it. if i forget anyone sorry. not to much to say other than i love doing this blog and hope to continue if the pigs don't shut me down or kill me hahaha. see ya.

crass the feeding of the 5000 12 ep
or is it lp? ah fuck anyway this is the only post tonight because the next post is the 200th post on political trendy. so many people that need thanks but let's wait for that. crass. that's all i really need to say is crass. but if i must say more this album has it all. great political statements, great music and vocals, some spoken word parts, and a great mix. punk is dead is always at the top of my list of great songs. and the anti religion songs are just as good. and banned from the roxy. what can i say about that song? the vocals sound like a cooler johny rottin. this is actually the only crass record i have. i must get more right after the other bands on my list of get more of. the only thing that's sort of a bad thing is the second and last track are basicly the same song but that song is just a killer it doesn't matter. i should review some of the other bands on the crass records roster like the mob or zounds. it's on mustard relics but you really should get this. and funny story about track one. apparently it was removed on the second press because of it's content (just listen to it) and replaced with a three minute track called the sound of free speach which was just silence. thankfully you can hear that track now. get it! now! now i'm gonna look for some powerpop.

gg allin watch me kill 7 ep
well today i was thinking of what to post. i started looking through my favorite (for now) bands. first came the shivvers. i actually do have one more record i need to review put out in 1989 i guess but i need to really listen to it. i'll do it just for eric. and no dude shivvers are way better than kiss. actually i hate those kind of arguments when you take two bands of totaly different genres (or two bands in general) and say "oh this band is way better than that." let it go. next came the germs. is it germs or the germs? i've seen both and heard both. i have the band's second 7 to review. i'll do that later. a lot more bands followed and basicly i said the same to every band i thought of. i'll do it later. so i was hopelessly lost when watch me kill came on. "yes" i said "i'll review this." raw as fucking shit punk rock with a bad i mean bad recording. and that's just the way it should be. hell on slaughterhouse deathcamp (great fucking title) you can't hear for shit what he saying. all the songs on hear are classics. i know this will offend the political punk nazis (that's right i called you anti racists nazis) and that's just the way i like it. i mean i'm pretty damn left but i don't have a stick up my ass. or if i do it's a very small one that i can't feel. so if you're one of those people just go away. don't even waste your or my time on this blog. ok now that those fucks are gone everyone who i haven't scared off should get this record. now!

well no but i feel dead. posts coming up including a recap of the big fucking race i went too up in northern california. and let's not forget what's coming up. the greatest race ever. the 24 hours of le mans. and let me also say during the race radio le mans did a great job. review of the race and some records are coming.

gwar we kill everything cd
okay people, this is a total rereview of this cd. it's may 2014 now and I just saw a typical idiotic review on metal archives of this release so let's counteract it with an openminded review of this album. this is gwar's 7th album released in 1999. they hadn't really been a full metal band for some time. this is a weird mix of genres. rather than just do a basic review I'm gonna do a track by track thing to give you an idea of what this album is like
1, babyraper. title says it all, it's about oderus raping babys. no it's not smart or witty but what do you expect? musicly this is almost hardcore punk with maybe a hint of metal. very fast, kicks things off to a nice start. mix is very good. solos rule. good song
2, fishfuck. again the title says it all. this ain't gonna be a look into the deepest corners of the human mind. musicly it's pretty much punk rock..and I love it. always makes me chuckle.
3, the performer. one of the best songs on the album, this is a ska punk song that's very melodic. I can't help but to sing along with this whenever it plays. great funny song. now we get into the album story concept. gwar had a mythos which is very interesting and the album is kind of the culmination of those mythos. if you don't know what I'm talking about..look it up
4, a short history of the end of the world. okay..fuck me if this isn't a great instrumental. it's pure metal and man is it good..no other way to describe it, it's really..good. amazing stuff. great guitar lines
5, escape from the mooselodge. originally titled the needel with different lyrics that was on some obscure gwar single, this has good music and interesting lyrics as the scene is set for the story to come which involvs the master coming back. good song but not that melodic
6, tune from da moon. scrota moon, a scumdog with a ballsack for a chin, somes to earth with a tablet and gwar breaks it. scrota sings this song which is a reworking of the song minute to live by death puiggy. punk stuff, very nice. the keyboard is a bit weird but hell, it doesn't detract from the song
7, jiggle the handle. we meet the portal potty, which is pretty much what it sounds like..it feeds on shit and can bring forth things. yeah...an interesting song because 5 different people sing on this song. it works. oh and don't try to flush a dead sheep down him because who knows what could arise? well as seen in the movie it's sleezy, gwar decides to test scrota and what's the test
8, nitro burnin funny bong. ah sweet youth, blablabla you know the lyrics....I've never gotten high to this but I'm pretty sure it could be fun. scrota gets high, that's what happens in this song. musicly it's punk that sticks in your mind and never lets go. I heard this more than 7 years ago and can still sing it even after months of not hearing it. great song
9, jagermonsta. this song is about scrota getting drunk, and in the film it's sleezy the jagermonsta is some creature who cuases drunkenness wherever he goes. musicly this is punkmetal. double bass heavy and very good. tan original member of the band plays a solo on this which is pretty cool. so scrota ends up diing. and they need to get him back to life to fix to tablet because if they don't the world will end..oh shit! what will they do?
10, my girly ways. call in slymenstra of corse. she really does have a good voice and I wish they gave her more songs. the reviewer said this sounds like a lost kittie track..I've never heard the band but if this sounds like them they can't all be bad. seriously this is not a bad track. musicly this is metal? sort of..pretty good track.
11, the master has a butt. one of the..dumbest names on the album and supposed to be making fun of pop country. this tells of oderus' relationship with the master. not bad, a little different which is actually a good thing. silly as hell but hey.
12, we kill everything. this is the title track and is almost 7 minutes long. tells of how gwar defetes the master. I can only guess that someone thought that this would be the last gwar album. especially from the lyrics..this is an interesting song, not really silly but very good, some cool music parts. not sure what genre they were going for here. still I like it. we'll kill everything, including ourselves! so that's the end of the album...or the story anyway. they somehow decided they'd have a story for this album but only for a few tracks and make the rest of the album about gwar's sex and drugs
13, child. a good rocker about oderus impregnating an audience member by mistake. not too much to say about this one. it's a rock song and isn't bad at all
14, penile drip. this song is fanfuckingtastic. dave does his brack empression and the bass hits random notes. the song bounces along and is very enjoyable to listen too..dave's brack empression is spot on
15, mary ann. this is another one of those songs that the loser ripped apart on metal archives claming it's a watered down pop punk song. no shit, it's a love song, sung by ballsack about his dead love mary ann. it's a good song, ballsack has a good voice, and the lyrics are almost touching..really. pop punk song..what did you expect? they're making fun of love songs you dumb metalhead
16, friend. this song is enjoyable but is so short. not much to say other than I kill you!
17, fuckin an animal. this song is something I shall sing when I'm drunk as shit...bouncy, catchy, if you don't like this song then I don't like you. great way to end this album. no it's not a deep song about dreams and science but I wouldn't want it that way
conclusion, if you like metal and only metal and don't like punk, first off go fuck yourself second you won't like this. if you enjoy punk and don't mind dumb lyrics you'll love this. the lyrics don't take away from this album at all. underrated classic

filth live the chaos 7 ep
well i haven't posted in a while so rather than you think i'm dead i'm coming back. it's almost the big 200. as in 200 posts. can't wait. anyway great hate filled crust from northern california. this is the kind of music that just makes me smile. but the vocalest is something else. i mean that guy sounds like he's girgling glass. it's just amazing. afi also liked filth. you know before they went all emo and shit. mustard relics has it but please please go buy a reissue so these label fucks don't think the kids are all about downloading. tell you something. if something ever appears with me it and it's being sold anywhere don't buy it cause i had nothing to do with it. thank you and good fucking night. oh this will not be the lst post tonight.

bad religion into the unknown lp
well i'm gonna out myself again. as you know i'm a huge bad religion fan and have everything the band has put out and even my least favorite of the 14 albums and two or three eps is still an amazing fucking record. this is the band's second album and is not punk but prog rock. if my least favorite (i don't even know what my least favorite is) is an amazing record this is one of the greatest records i own. no this won't sit well with you all punk freaks but for us who are openminded this is amazing. this is the only prog rock record i own and i love it so much. and no eric i got into this record in 2008 before powerpop but i think this was the start of my branching out. so if you don't like the new me blame bad religion. anyway 10000 of these were pressed and as bret says he sent out 10000 and got 11000 back. people didn't like this. hahaha punks are weird but i can understand. i mean how could hell be any worse? was a great album. so you'd think the follow-up to it was gonna be even better hardcore and what do you get? keyboard prog rock. so they just sent it back. i don't know i really like it. good lyrics music is awesome and with that bad religion feel. i know these guys get played on the radio but i don't care buy all br releases. and get this album from wherever you can. oh and this is the 194th (i think) post. 200th coming soon!
please can you help?
i'm looking for a domo by a band from humboldt california band called jane maxwell band. can you help? thanks.

sins of the flesh greed lp
and greed is the word for our capitalist system. anyway great record put out in 1988. crust crossed with death metal. it really works. kinda basic but still great. got this off that great website mustard relics. no i'm not kissing ass his site is amazing 5000000 times better than my shithole blog. but fuck i love my blog. the vocals remind me of venom a little. ultra fast and great sound to the record! metal haters will not like this basicly everyone who comments on my blog. i do not expect any comments on this. but you need to get this if you like crust crossed with death metal. enjoy it.
intestinal disgorge whore splattered walls cd
alright probably the most vile record i own.one of my many internet archive downloads. what we have is some good grind "music" with fast drumming and distorted guitars. at first i thought it was cybergrind record with samples of music. wrong. but the vocals. the one reason i can't fully love this album is the vocals. the lead parts are awesome with death growls. but the high screams possibly coming from some girl they're torchering in the studio are just too much. oh and just as a legal thing i do not know if any girls were torchered in the recording of this album. now human rights guys won't come after me hahaha. but back to the review. man those screams are good at first but just get so anoying. i don't know if it's a male or female or if it's amp feedback. wouldn't surprise me either way. the song titles are just trying to offend but that doesn't bother me. actually they seem to try a little hard to be shocking but it just winds up being funny. and the rumbling vocals that go along with the high screams aren't needed. so guys please just stop those screams and rumbles and i'll love your record. get it though. as i said it's good grind. and yes as the first song's opening says "this is fucked up!"

thrasho de mayo
i'm not gonna say much except that if you ever go to the ultra violet social club just don't. don't give them your money and don't give them anything except a kick in the fucking head. i don't care if people from the club tell me to remove this. i'll fucking take you all on right now and i'm not kidding. i'm so pissed at these fuckheads i could ram my head through a brick wall. i shouldn't even be here right now. basicly what happened is i went to a show when i realised i was starving cause i hadn't eaten today and i wanted to buy a demo. i get out of the club hoping to dash to the local 7-11 to get some cash when i'm told i can't get back in. i was gonna give you my money but instead i'm giving you a fist to the fucking face. and the guard is a dick.

optional death practice tape
before you read this i'll tell a little about this review. i had published this on my old song meanings journal along with a few others. this was the only review i actually feel proud of and even then i made some changes. enjoy.
yes your lord and master is back with another review. this time it's a band i got into a few days (well now it's been about five months) ago called optional death. optional death is a thrash metal band that used to be called warfare then they lost the drummer. i have never heard warfare before (yes i have now good shit) but this rips. some great guitar parts. however mr. metalhater won't like this haha. go to http://www.archive.org and download the whole tape. this is the only thing they recorded. it's an hour long and it has 16 tracks. what more do i need to say? recorded in 1989 it's some baddass thrash. if you don't download this i'll be a sad panda. over and fuck off.

gwar hell-oe lp
well you all know gwar as that crazy band with masks who play some some kickass metal punk whatever music. this is gwar's first album. gwar mutated from death piggy who i think i reviewed a while ago. this lp is mostly punk with a little metal. come to think of it is it really metal or hawkwind rock. i'm a huge gwar fan and love all 11 albums but this has to be one of the best. what's cool about this is that mr. i hate metal might actually dig this. also the band's mythos aren't really explored. instead you get some cool punk metal with nasty lyrics. i'm in love with a dead dog is a good one. anyway check this shit out. one more thing. i really like the production on this. some people don't but i do.
discharge fight back 7 ep
yes the amazing discharge. we all know them right? the band's second ep and it's a fucking monster. simple as fuck with one drum itile throughout. we all know which one it is. the lyrics are moronic at best. i mean this band has lyrics like "smash the fuck out of the fucking system." what? it's still amazing though. you can find it anywhere. every blog has it and it's probably been reissued. get it when you can. another thing about this record is how short it is. but anyway get it.

burn the priest s/t lp
or you may know them as lamb of god. as you probably have guessed i'm not above liking mainstream metal. i really like old and new lamb of god. this doesn't sound like new log at all. great post thrash/grindcore from the same town as gwar, white cross, and municipal waste. i don't care if they're on a major label i like what i like got it? the vocals are well i can't tell what he's saying but i like it. on the followup this guy was drunk when he recorded the vocals. mainly screems and shit you know new metal. i miss the NWOBHM. chris is a great drummer which you don't get to see on later releases. as i said i like all log stuff but the old stuf is better. but wrath is a good album. anyway the guitar and bass sound is just massive whenever you can get this shit. and don't worry punk posts are coming soon. i like metall too though so fuck off.
life's blood 1988 demo
good hardcore after hardcore's end. this band i think was from new york and just rip. new york had a great sound. makes you want to fight. kind of reminds me of the psychos a little for some reason. i think it's at punk obitchuary along with the 7 i will have to review. only thing about this tape is it's over so fast (8 minutes) but that's not always a bad thing. enjoy this.

sin34 dye laughing 7
well it's my last post ever on this blog. goodbye. ok who actually believed that? gahahahahahaha! this blog is never gonna dye. no matter how much you try to kill it the fucker just won't stay dead. anyway sin34 was a great female fronted hc band. i like these types of bands because they're so rare but they totally rock. hell i don't care if you're a man woman dog or cat if you can rock i will listen. i think you already figured that out by now. anyway her voice is great. the music is good la hardcore. get this. gbm has it. look for a reissue too. i shouldn't have to say that.

typical holland farm scene demo 2
this is really a great tape. slopy as all hell but great. this demo has zach of fucked up society and hardcore punk reviews on drums and some other guy on guitar. just really short fast and simple hc from canada. what's not to like? these guys don't want to keep time with each other but that's great. and what's with the blast beats? 12 songs and it's over so fast. you can find it by typing in thfs in the archive.org search field. another thing this doesn't have is no vocals but that's not a bad thing. now mosh your head off.
the circle jerks goup sex lp
well it was either this or one of my favorite tapes featuring a very good friend of this blog on drums. anyway i chose this because i just saw circle jerks live with crossover thrash band municipal waste and 7 seconds. municipal waste was my favorite but the other bands (i think i'm leaving out a band sorrry) ripped shit up too. but this record is just amazing. i mean 14 songs in 15 minutes and they call it an lp but the first dri ep is 17 minutes and it was first released as an ep. this record is the band's best and just kills. every song is amazing and not long at all. every punk should have this. after this the band was just ok but still play live well. probably because i didn't see them. anyway go get it on vinyl or cd if you must. oh and kevin seconds is a pussy with his anti violence shit that i saw at the show. he was all "if your gonna fight we're not playing" and all this shit. oh boo fucking hoo people were fighting. grow up! i hate you youth crew shits so much. so yeah i like 7 seconds a lot but i don't like the youth crew bullshit. anyway i'm gonna stop.
