Has it really been 10 years?

Hi everyone. Elliott here. Anyone remember this blog existed? For a few years as a teenager, I wrote really bad, horribly misspelled reviews with 0 punctuation or research. I wrote these reviews off the top of my head, as I was listening to the records. No research, no anything. No proof-reading, as you all likely remember. And yet, I got comments. Made friends through the blog. People actually put up with my shit, which in hindsight is kind of amazing. Reading these posts now, I'm filled with a mix of embarrassment at my shitty writing, but the enthusiasm makes me smile. I stopped writing the blog when I started my Youtube show. Formerly called Political Trendy Radio, we renamed it to the Swine Brothers Show. I made more new friends, even interviewed musicians. Ryan from Intestinal Disgorge (yes, I got to meet the guy behind Whore Splattered Walls!) and King Fowley from Deceased among then. It's been a fun ride. I still love music, maybe more than ever. I still listen to punk and metal every day. I didn't stop the blog because I was getting out of punk and moving on. You never move on from what you love. I simply was having more fun with the show. Now, for some strange reason, I revisit this blog 10 years after it closed. It doesn't feel like 10 years went by. I can still remember writing these posts on my braille computer like it was yesterday. They may be cringe to read now, but they were sure fun to write back then. Thanks to everyone who supported this blog and me, and who commented. It was such a fun ride. Now with Swine Brothers on something of a hiatus, I wonder what the next chapter will be. One thing's for sure, the next chapter will be loud, filthy and fucking obnoxious! As King Fowley would say, stay true, stay ugly, and stay underground!
