big black il duce 7
it's ok t&g i'm not posting mp3s. don't worry. i won't let you lose money. big black are a very weird band. first off they use a drum machine. i'm not totaly against that. another great (and the only other one i know of) punk band wheo use a drum machine is the runs. where the runs try and have a fun sound (mat just sounds like a guy i'd want to smoke pot with and listen to hc) big black don't even try and make the thing sound like real drums. i really don't know how to describe the overall sound of this band. the closest i would say is a comment on good bad music that said this is sound or something like that. the lyrics aren't supposed to be the center of listening. by it. i got it at amoeba for about 5 dollars. oh and sorry to erich about the comments i left on that post in october. i was (and sometimes still am) and didn't think. anyway get it.

crippled youth join the fight 7 ep
“I don’t know what your scene’s like, or if it’s really cool, I just know what my scene’s like and I think it fucking rules” from positive scene. blech! puke! and the song gets worse. this is actually a good ep but the lyrics are just fucking horible so bad it makes me want to smash my head against the wall. thanks boyscouts. what a neo nazi group. anyway crippled you became bold. i'm afraid to listen to them. as i said these lyrics are nauseating. and don't give me that shit about "oh he was just 14 at the time" because when i was 14 i wrote songs called capitalist shit and major labels suck. not to creative. i've grown a lot in my lyric writing. i kept capitalist shit and change a lot of things. i still believe in the same shit but i've learned to express it in a smarter way. but these. i'd rather listen to some song by some stupid motherfucker about how they hate everyone than some even stupider person singing about how they love everyone. the music is actually pretty good though. gbm for it. enjoy then kill some boyscouts.
mad society s/t 7 ep
this record is a joke. or at least it should be. it's kind of weird. if you don't know mad society were from my hometown of la. they're ok but the 13 (or is it 8 or 9 or something) year old singer is somewhat anoying. go to good bad music for the download and see what the singer is doing now. it makes me want to puke. the music on this is not very fast but still pretty good. what i love is that they weren't a youth crew band like that other really young band that became bold. those lyrics are just horible. i like that band but the lyrics sometimes prevent me from listening. on mad society however the lyrics are um ok. just listen. napalm!

just another thought post
sorry about not posting that much. been doing a lot of thinking. you know thinking about life and other random shit. finally i feel better and i'm ready to post. so keep checking back. and don't worry eric i'm getting another pop post ready. and as i said countless times if you read this blog comment. i read every single comment so i know who's commenting. and thank you all who show support. because the blog doesn't require any donations (unless you want to donate music) the best way you can show your support is by commenting. so thank you. review coming soon.

agent 86 protect the earth 7 ep
ok well i'm back. sorry for that. wait why am i saying sorry? noone reads this crap. anyway not as good as the second ep scary action but still a very good slab. not too fast but the singer is good. don't know much about this band. check them out at mustard relics and hardcore punk reviews. that is all. just a short one right now. sorry.

thanks for editing me blogger
what. so calling tom fischer a little bitch is not ok but having a label entitled fuck varg vikernes is? i don't get the world. this post will probly be dumped because we've got to protect the kids from the truth. i might just slap an adult content thing on this blog even though it doesn't have any porn just so i can post what i want. for a site saying the believe in free speach you sure like to fuck with my blog. thanks.

ready for another review?
well too fucking bad cause that's not what you're gonna get. sure i got lots more to review but nothing speaks to me right now. you know how it is right? well i'm gonna go listen to slobber and garden weasel. see ya.
the sword gods of the earth lp
well after reading a negative review of this on last days i had to get it just to see what was so bad. to be honest i don't think it's that bad. this makes me want to do bong hits and eat chips all day. good stoner metal. i don't know if it will sit well with everyone but i kinda like it. i'm sorry i don't agree but this isn't that bad. just listen to it. now i'm gonna go listen to some punk.

the shivvers lost hits from milwaukee's first family of powerpop: 1979-1982 cd
this may seem silly to some to do this right after a negative aproach post but it's my blog. actually i've been holding onto this for a couple of days until i got another comment from eric saying i'm bob or whatever. well to him i say hahahahahahahahahaha! anyway great cd. i didn't want to get this because i thought it would be just another reissue cd where they fuck up the songs remastering them. they didn't. i don't know if they remastered them but it sounds the same. the band only put out one 7 single which i reviewed. this has 20 tracks including the teen line/when i was younger single. not one track on this is bad. the live stuff is great! jill had an amazing voice. too bad they couldn't do more. in a way this is what i wanted because all i said after listening to the single is did they do more? and how can i get it? now i've got it and it's awesome. buy it. it rocks from a to zed (hahaha) or z for the americans like me. i just love the word zed. anyway it's worth buying.
negative aproach s/t 7 ep
bloody fucking hell! how does a record get this massiv! i can't believe it! think something like agnostic front but more powerful if that can happen. this is a must have for anyone who likes brutal hardcore. not too fast but you can tell they weren't a bunch of posers. they really meant it. i guess they reformed and from what i've heard it's pretty awful. but this record kills. go to gbm for a really good live show. this has been reissued i think so get it. like i said you must hear this before you dye. so get it now.
gg allin no rules 7 ep
another classic gg release. well actually if you've read my blog you know that i think everything by this guy is a classic. this is a good mix of hardcore punk and um maybe power pop? in fact up against the wall is a cover of a pop song. a fuck up has some of the best lyrics from taimer gg i've heard. overall you can't go wrong with anything the guy put out but this is a must have. it's been reissued but you find it on the kbd site. but like i always say buy a reissue. support the band.
why i chose the url elliott sucks
ah why not? i've already explained this to a few people but what the fuck? i wanted a url with some humor. people would look at my url (it's in erich's links now yay!) and think i have something against some dude named elliott. they would check it out and discover that elliott is actually running the blog! ok maybe not that funny but it was to me. oh and a little preview of what's coming next. the shivvers discography cd, maybe some neos stuff, and maybe just maybe whatever the fuck i want. i don't plan it it just happens. like i didn't plan on doing reviews. ok i did but not that much. i had done one review for the amazing one man running ep but after seeing zach's hardcore punk reviews site it just happened. that was like december of last year and i'm already at 116 reviews even after taking a month off on well let's call it a forsed vacation. so i don't know what i'm trying to say. i guess that we don't know what something's gonna turn into we just have to wait and maybe it'll be good. oh and man i hate that elliott guy!
image of a dead man/nales stuck through his hands/is it really something a child can understand?
anyone know where that's from? i need to know. great song.

koro s/t 7
mellow stuff coming hahaha. i heard some people say that this was sped up in the mastering. i don't really know if it's true. great hardcore though. just think poison idea with a worse singer. i really like the pi singer. great voice. this has great vocals too but not as good as pi. sorry. and what is blap? this was reissued along with an unheard 12 ep but as far as i know they're both shit. you can find this at a number of locations. i like this but one question remains. was this sped up? i want fucking answers! right now! ok maybe not right now. anyway get this.
bad religion s/t 7
i went pretty wiled over this one about two years ago then forgot about it cause i was listening to a lot of later br. but today drastic actions came on (yes i love that song) and i flipped. just put on this ep and said i need to review it. it has to be on this blog! anyway great fast (kind of) and 1slow hardcore. i'm gonna be uncool again (like that's a fucking surprise) and say that into the unknown is a great album and i wonder why it hasn't been reissued. but this is not into the unknown. not a bad first release. ok i mean a fucking great first release from a band who is one of my favorites. i have everything they put out and i love it all. thank you bad religion. i know they're pretty well-known but i don't really care. hell they could be the biggest band in the world and i wouldn't care. check this shit out. and yes greg has an amazing voice. it's been reissued with how could helll be any worse? another great album. oh hell i'll say every br album is great!
gai extermination 7 flexi
after i said i would post some mellow shit here is a post that's extreme? my script writer is fired! wht's that? i write my own stuff? oh fuck it. haha that didn't go over t9o well. damn i liked it in my head. oh well. gai from japan changed name to swankys and put out that lp i raved about. once again the vocalest is a little hard to get into but it can be done. the music shreds. japan had some cool hc shit. if you want a download the horible 7inchpunk has it. but look for a coppy. i shouldn't even have to say that. btw i resisted the desire to ask erich gbm for a link to my blog. i should have but when the guy was in a great band and runs a blog that has changed my life and has commented before on this one i feel bad for asking him. besides my blog is crap compared to his. oh a little note i do look for a coppy of all records i talk about. i'm not a download only cunt like so many little fuckers. oh i'm gonna stop. see ya.

raw noise system never lp
sorry about the hard music i'm posting. more taim shit for you soon. so don't worry eric you'll get more pop. ok anyway maybe you want some background because a lot of you are probably thinking who the fuck is raw noise? raw noise was a pre extreme noise terror band. they broke up and reformed about two or three times. i don't know what all they put out but i have a great demo tape from 1984 that's much more hardcore. they also did a split with chaos uk if anyone has that please share. anyway they just reformed to record system never. i would have chosen a better album title but that's me. i would say this sounds like ent but i only have one ent ep so i don't know. what is this? crustcore. crust mixed with grindcore at least that's what i hear. pick this up if you like that. zach you may dig the demo a little more which you can find at gbm. so buy this one and if anyone from the band stops by (they won't) fill in the blanks.

fucked up society demo 1
and now for my project. i'm not promoting it i just love it. it's me on drums and vocals (kind of) and zach from hardcorepunkreviews.blogspot.com on guitar. i did the drums last saturday and zach put the guitar tracks on tonight.i actually wasn't expecting him to. yes i asked him but it was a half joke. overall i'd say it came out good. better with guitar on it. go to internet archive for it. it really just means i have something recorded with me on it. thank you zach.
look blue go purple LBGPEP2
this is the taimest shit i have. lbgp were an all female band. kind of (ok really) poppy but so good!. i really can't describe this you must listen. this is for eric again. last days of man on earth has it and he writes waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than i do. but of corse buy all of the band's shit. i'm sure the punks will kill me for putting this one on my blog. well come on guys i'm waiting. anyway buy and download and comment.

gg allin always was, is and always shall be lp
gg's first album. a little different from what he would later do but it's fucking gg and if gg's on a record i'll listen. the lyrics aren't as violent and profane as on his later records but as i said it's gg allin. i i don't care if he's singing expose yourself to kids (i do not endorse that stuff if you think i do and i don't think gg really did. he was just being gg allin.) or borred to death. i love it all! the backing band is the jabbers but i don't care. i only wish i could have seen gg live. yes i know what he did but as far as i'm concerned gg is what punk rock was supposed to be. total fucking mayhem with no regard to anyone or anything. i could be wrong. anyway this is some good bratty punk. i would say one of his best but everything he did is one of his best. zach if you like this you might not like the later scumfuck shit but i love it. i should have called this blog political scumfuck but oh well. anyway let me summerize. bla bla bla gg allin is awesome bla bla bla. get everything by this man including the hated dvd. gg rules!
garden weasel live on KHSU
ok another post from mustard relics. this was my first gw recording i got at mr right after the fantastic wd-40 demo. what we have is a radio show with gw performing. go to mr for the background. anyway this has some great stuff on it including two wd-40 covers. and the end is a really cover of low rider by war. i never liked war but if they made the orijinal like gw did i would check them out haha. man justin could scream! he doesn't like to hear it but you've got a great voice man. anyway check this out. oh and one mor thing. on every gw recording you can hear the bass quite well. i like that. the guitar has a great sound but the drums would give me hearing loss if i played it so loud. check it now!
really borred
well i'm boorred and posting. listening to garden weasel right now. good shit. it's the demo they did. anyway you know if you want your band reviewed send it in. i know i should stop saying this because noone's gonna give me shit (except zach thank you) put it up on http://www.filehosting.org (in a .zip file) and send it to my email or leave the link in the comments. i'll review your band no matter how bad it is. anyway i was talking to zach yesterday about how fucked up society is. why does people of the same sex being together scare people? and why does everyone depend so much on looks? maybe i'm just saying that because i'm blind. you tell me. humanity is sick. anyway i'm gonna go listen to mayhem.

the misfits earth a.d lp
and this one's for my friend beth who likes the misfits. comment if you read this one. yes i know how big the misfits are but i really don't care. this is probably the band's worst recording and for some reason one of my favorites. no old punk here just streight up hc with death metal influences. funny how the worsed record by the band is one of the best hc records. deffinetly a great record. glen danzig may be an asshole but he had a great voice. so check it out. coming up just because i can garden weasel on KHSU. oh and a little note to people who think i just dl the shit and don't buy a coppy. hey if i could find most of these records i would get then. i just review shit i like. it's just that a lot of i like can be found of blogs.
slobber s/t 7 ep
this one goes out to brian of garden weasel (as well as some other kickass bands) for no other reasen than i'd like to thank you for commenting on my blog. and thank you everyone who has commented. anyway slobber. sloppy as fuck grindcore from california. i mean i wonder if these guys could play anything other than this. i'm reasonably sure they were fucking around. and check out the slobber blog i think the url is http://www.slobberband.blogspot.com but i could be wrong. maybe it's not even the same band. no it probably is. they've reformed i think. pretty sure this has gone out of print so mustard relics for it. but as always try and look for a coppy. if you can't oh well. not to much i can say other than this is really short. and erich from fear of god hates it. so yeah check it out and remember to tell justin elliott sent you. don't do it and um something will happen.

kreig kopf s/t demo
time for some new york hardcore. not that fast but sloppy and powerful stuff. it's not the best but it could have gotten a lot worse. and on gun power it sounds like girl power! how about nutral power? fuck the my gender is better than yours shit let's just get along. girls are not better than boys and it's the same thing for boys. grow the fuck up. anyway 7 songs of good hc is what we have. oh and the band name translates to warhead. why they used a german name i'll never know. new york had one of the best hc sounds. anyway gbm for the tape.

the underlings operational excellence cd
this one goes out to ed from garden weasel and this band the underlings. now let me tell you a little story about how i discovered this. it was october or november of like 2008 or something. i'm reasonably sure it was october and i just got my braille computer and was doing some searching on one of my favorite sites mustard relics. after reading that getting older post and laughing a little and also feeling like a little shit i thought i'd look uner his recently posted stuff. i stumbled on the underlings while looking for hc or metal. at first i almost didn't want to click on the first song. you have to understand i was kind of stupid and didn't want to branch out. well i did. now thanks to the underlings and the flakes i discovered bands i wouldn't have even cared about if those bands hadn't triggered that little voice that said it's time to explore. and what's the music like? hard to explain. maybe if ed comes back he can put it into words. poppy rock (which isn't always a bad thing) with really good lyrics. the songs the bassest wrote are a little faster but still as good. i don't have a favorite because it's something you need to listen too. and you either love it or hate it. and listen. mustard relics has it but if you like it please please buy a coppy if you can. i don't think ed's an ultrafamous rock star with so much money he can buy anything. believe me if he was i'd well i'd probly still say buy it just because he's a nice guy. and he has a great voice. you know sometimes it's nice to get away from hc and metal. so check it the fuck out.

gg allin brutallity and bloodshed for all lp
yes. gg fucking allin! the king of rock! this is his best album and his last before his death. the music is great actually not as mimple as on his other recordings but still good. his vocals though. his voiced has evolved (or devolved) into a deep rore. it's awesome. and the lyrics! killing this and raping that. what more do you need? get it at your favorite music store that has the balls to sell this stuff. gg allin was the only real rocker. scum punk from hell. get it.
terrorizer darker days ahead
well i have the house to myself til sunday. what am i gonna do? have a good fuckin time that's what. anyway this is terrorizer's second album after the group kind of reformed. and the resulting album was well it was okay. more of a death metal feel which isn't bad because i always thought world downfall was more death metal than grindcore. the vocals are deep death grunts without feeling and the drums are nothing special. i do bang my head too but it's not my favorite. get world downfall first.
Thursday, April 1, 2010
kate fagan i don't want to be to cool/waiting For The Crisis 7
well it's my 150th post. and because of that i thought i'd share one great record and the only new wave record i like. if you don't know kate fagan she used to be in some ska band but wound up playing some good new wave. the first song has really good lyrics. i don't know new wave that much but joe stumble of last days of man on earth says it's good new wave pop. the second song is weird but really good with good political lyrics. i wish she put out more records. oh well last days has it. get it. now.
i've run out
no it's not april fools. i've run out of reviews to do. i mean i have stuff but i've not taken the time to really listen to it. as i say again if you want me to review your band send me a ful recording. not a song not two songs a full album/ep/single/demo. i don't review partial shit. email co at ellindamood@gmail.com please. thanks.
my favorite show!
Midweek Motorsport. it's a two hour show on radiolemans.com. they talk a lot. before listening do a lot of research on european races. enjoy!
i've changed
i no longer like punk or metal or anything i used to like. i've also done away with my old beliefs and am now part of the extreme right. i mean the really extreme right. also i'm converting to christianity but it's the kind that rules your life and you can't do anything without asking jesus if it's ok. also i'm renaming this blog jesus is my best friend and it will now be a much happyer blog full of fun not guys screaming for change. april mothafuckin fools! if that ever happens to me kill me!

lethargie s/t lp
time for some crust. lethargie are a dyi crust band from germany who released this monster of an lp. if you know of anything more by this band for fucks sake give it to me! anyway great crust. i do love this genre of music. i'm looking for a hardcoppy maybe when i go back to amoeba. get it at archive.org and love it. btw if your in a band and want to get some reviewing just get in touch. come on. do it! i need more new music! anyway get this now.
minutemen double nickels on the dime double lp
alright! my 100th review! hope you like it and thanks to everyone for reading. now what we have is a really cool mix of jaz punk funk and country with some covers of songs that sound way better when covered by these three guys. and how did one song end up in the jackass show? and that live cover is awesome. you know what's weird? a double lp can fit on one cd. these guys know how to play. everything these guys put out is amazing. get it whenever you can. so yeah thanks for reading and get this now!
mentally ill gacy's place 7
coming up next my 100th review! i'm very excited about that. but right now let's hear some um kbd punk. the mentally ill were a band from somewhere. fuck i really got to start getting ready for these post. what bad production! the guitar is ultra fuzzy, the drummer rocks, the vocalest is sick, and i'm don't believe they had a bass. they probably did but i just don't think so. the cover is not a joke. it's a photo. the note is real too. kbd records for the download. and it's john wayne gacy not john paul. the second 7 is really different.
the eat communist radio/catholic love 7
well hear it is the eat. all of the eat's recordings have been put on a discography so get that. actually the slower and better catholic love is missing. anyway rather then do the smart thing like i did for liliput i'm gonna review each release. the only reason i'm doing it for this band is because i know all the releases (sorry liliput) anyway great great great old1school punk (a sertain canadian blegger would call it kbd punk) from florida! get the discography or from kbd records. not much i can say. it was not recorded live that chearing you hear is probly the band's friends. it doesn't sound live. anyway get it. oh yeah and tell them elliott sent you and see if anyone reads st! if they do tell me. if they don't well then tell them about it!
Monday, March 29, 2010
the germs forming/sex boy 7
the germs first release and what a record. the first song is simple punk with sleepy vocals. it's a little long but itill it's great. the second track is a live song complete with smashing bere bottle. i actually like the last track. get it somewhere. i dnn't know where. i got it from 7inch punk. it's great! a little simple but that's what makes it so good. get it whenever you can.
the freeze rabid reaction lp
zach posted this and i downloaded it. i was expecting more fast hc like the guilty face ep. i was wrong. in stead i found a good mix of mid-tempo hc and punk even a little country influence. cliff perfected his lyrics on this album. i guess he started up the freeze again with a different lineup and is still touring and making records. i don't care. as long as cliff is on vocals i don't give a crap who's playing the instraments. deffinatly get a reissue of this. misguided memorys sounds like later social distortion with a little more punch. before i hit the rubber room will probably make a lot of those pc ultra edgy assholes flinch. i bet if he was serious about the lyrics it would probably be a different story. anyway give this a listen.
kleenex/liliput
well a lot of races i was gonna watch got rained out. i do watch nascar simply because it's racing. i also watch indy car. well if it has a motor and races i'll watch it. and no i do not like danica patric. you know i've seen women in racing who are five times better than she is but she's a pretty face. oh well zach at least the great paul tracy's from canada. anyway back to to music. you know how i feel about these discography releases. if you didn't let me put it this way. i love them! i love just going into a store and getting everything by a band. anyway just in case you didn't know. kleenex were an all girl swiss punk band who were forced to change the band's name to liliput by a sertain tissue company. i found a couple records on gbm listened to them and as soon as i could i went out and got this. see that's why mp3 blogs are great. i would have never heard this band before if it weren't for one swiss god. even if i got all the band's output from good bad music this has unreleased tracks. i know what that sounds like demo and live tracks. well it does have some kind of radio performance but i don't think they ever rerecorded any songs. and the music! the first cd is a bit more punky with some great sax and high and low vocals. and some nice rifs that i can't get out of my head. listen to track 12. if you can't that rif out of your head you've got problems. the second cd is more arty but still just as good. it's the best post punk band ever and you all need this if you ever want a good music collection. and the label it was released on. how can you not love a label called kill rock stars! this band had many lineup changes but these girls really could play. get it! now!

final conflict 1985 demo
in a fiew posts it will be my 100th review. actually i thought of quitting after the 100th post during that month i was away. but it's too fun. then i thought about stopping after my 100th review. but now i've decided to stop either when i run out of music or i get shot. or maybe in two years. i don't really know. anyway i reviewed some fc a while ago just before i went missing. this demo has a lot of the same songs but in a little slower format. think poison idea's demo but badly recorded. also i can't hear any metal influence. zach you'd like the lp. it's tinged with metal just a slight bit. this demo has no metal to speak of. just a ripping demo. if the songs were a better quolity it could be an lp. enjoy and remember i'm not leaving.
the germs germicide live lp
oh wow. finally i've heard a drummer who's worse than me! this makes me feel so good. i really think pat was the only dude who knew how to play his instrament. and how many times does darby yell "aw fuck you!" and "come up here!" sloppy as hell not to fast old punk. fuck this hc fastness let's get sloppy. i really don't know how this found it's way onto a record. tape maybe but a record i don't know. mustard relics has it and as always look for some kind of reissue. too bad erich doesn't like it. this is truly good bad music.
my beliefs
some people have asked about my political and religious leanings.i'm not making this up. i think the reason some people have asked me this is because have a love for black metal and some of the bands i like have racist beliefs. i didn't know it then because they don't say it in the music and even if they did i wouldn't know. first of all let me say i get those band's albums for free. that includes burzum mayhem and all those bands. btw varg vikernes needs to shut the fuck up. we get it you have a small dick and a lot of insocuritys. you've made that very clear. now fuck off. i'm not reading your shit and i'm not giving you money. anyway i just wanted to clear the air a little. i am not a racist, sexist, homophobe, or any of that stupid shit. i am however antichristian, antiracist, and antieverything that's wrong with this world. politics i lean twards marxism but have also expressed anarchest views. in short i believe in both. it's kind of hard to explain but i'll do my best. if we can't have one let's have the other. antipatriotism is also a big part of my views. i do eat meat and am not streight edge but i do respect the guys who don't go overboard with the thing and start forcing streight edge on all of us. fuck those guys. those little youth crew shits make me sick. i am also anticonservitiv although i think that has been implyed on this blog before. implyed? i fucking said it many times! anti war as well. sorry about my ranting i'm not trying to force my beliefs on you just giving you some talking points. so yeah let me summarise. bla bla bla varg shut the fuck up bla bla rant rant rant. thank you for your time.

JFA blatant localism 7
not feeling like anarchest punk right now. too much crass will do that to you. JFA is right for me right now even though i can't ride a skateboard (i'm blind. i fall. it hurts like a bitch especially when you have big rocks in the yard) oh well time to bust out the coaks and snickers. anyway from what i can gather this is pretty good lighthearted skatecore. i first heard this band on the some arizona comp but it wasn't that great. this is though. 7inch punk for the download. i'll review crass soon.
title not found
not feeling like doing a review right now. also not feeling like writing a title. what the hell is wrong with me? i'm actually feeling somewhat social (ask zach i always feel somewhat social) so i figure after i get some sleep i'll go out and do something. i think a trip to the record store will be fine. right now i'm just sitting wondering why i don't go to sleep yet. also if you know me personally and visit this blog please make yourself known. i don't know if that's a good idea though. you should see the guys i hang around hahaha. also i was thinking of having someone come in if i can't post and post for me. not saying it's gonna happen but if you want to sort of own a part of the internet get in touch with me. let's se what more do i have to say. don't really know. oh yeah i think the fucked up url hurts me rather than helps me. nothing i can do really as i tryed to get another blog a while ago and it told me to type what you see in the picture. only problem is i don't se a picture. so i'm stuck. someone besides me and the awesome zach of hardcorepunkreviews.blogspot.com has to read this right? oh well i'm doing this for me and the people who read it even if it's just one person. talk to ya later. oh yeah and powerpop rules!

d.r.i thrash zone lp
you know when a band crosses over it puts me in a weird place. you know my metal love by now probably. but when a hardcore band i love goes metal it's weird because on one hand i love metal but on the other hand they were one of my favorite hc bands and now they're following a trend. now you know about dri a little from my blog. i even reviewed a metal album by them a fiew months ago (seems like three years now) but now i actually have words to say what this is. it's ok. the guys know how to play but please get rid of the singer. i love his hc singing but in the crossover dri he really doesn't change his way of singing so it really doesn't fit the music. other than that it's a good metal album. so check it out if you like metal.

corrupted morals chet ep
before i make this story public i need to remind you i was 10 at the time. anyways i was all into green day and thought i was so punk. i'm not joking when i say when i wrote that i actually got a little sick. anyway i was saying how green day was so punk and all that poser shit when some guy gave me some records put out by lookout! the same labal gd was on in the early days i guess. he said "this was what was going on at the time those guys you like started." the first record in the pile was this 7 by corrupted morals. i put it on. ok nice intro. then it happened. what the fuck? the music was simple and fast and something inside me told me that this was home for me. right at that second i smashed everything that reminded me of green day. and that's how i found hardcore. i don't care if it's generic i just know it's how i found hc. later on i was to discover good pop punk and get a lot more hardcore shit but that's how it all started. get this at 7inchpunk and listen to it as i did as a 10 year old.
kuro who the helpless 8 ep
well my vacation started early for me so expect more posts but not as many as on tuesday (that was supposed to be a punishment) anyway on to the music. no not koro kuro. big difference. japan had (and has) some great hc. this 8 inch ep (don't ask) by kuro is no exception. the vocals are wild. i mean he's so pissed off about something i can't tell what it is though only that if i sat down with the guy i would probly find i agree with him on those things. also peter kbd hates it. that's enough to make me download it. haha sorry peter actually a big fan of your blog. get this monster at gbm and look for it on ebay or look for a reissue. i don't say that in the other posts because i don't need too. if you have a brain you'll want a coppy for yourself. although some people have no brain. anyway get it however you can.
the psychos one voice demo
well hear's a little tape i found by stumbling blindly through the interweb. this band isn't known at all outside of new york i don't think. actually if it's known at all it's because it has billy of s.o.d on bais. that's it. what people don't know is that it's actually a good tape. good new york hardcore. i don't know what more to say except it's good hc. not great but good. get it from sodmod.com.
