the damned things ironiclast cd

now i know what you're thinking. has he swiched to mainstream new records for life? no you idiot! i just review whatever i'm listening to at the time. which happens to be this. now when i heard of an anthrax/fall out boy hybrid basically i was like what the fuck? old scott ian must really like making money if he wants to work with fall out boy's x-drummer and guitarest (they broke up hahaha) or so i thought. and now? i still think that. it's okay hard rock. that's about it. generic as all hell but fun to listen to every now and again. oh and the vocalist is from every time i die. so yeah the man who once wrote speak english or die! and who recorded the crab society north demo is now making generic hard rock with a bunch of wanker pop punk cunts. rob from anthrax is in the band too but i really don't know much about him as all i have from anthrax are the first album and a single before the first album. s.o.d was always better. so anyway get this if you want but unless you're ritch don't spend that much money on it. it's fun for when you don't want something that heavy and you just want to chill. which isn't so bad now is it? but seriously scott ian i'm disapointed in you.

nekromantix what happens in hell, stays in hell cd

alright now for something different. i used to love psychobilly. i mean really really love it. like 5 years ago. now i thought i'd reviset an old fave of mine the nekromantix from denmark now from la. now in 2007 i got the newest album before this life is a grave and i dig it. i thought the album was okay. not good but not bad. i thought maybe they'd figure things out on this album. well they have a new lineup (the drummer died and the guitarest quit) and they put out this thing. so what do we have? once again this album is just okay. not amazing but not bad. i must say though that i don't listen to psychobilly any more except for rare moments. still though this just doesn't do much for me. i mean when the sandorf brothers quit the band in 04 or so they clamed it was because it wasn't funny any more. i can see what they mean. it's really just old now. kim nekroman is at least 40 or something. it's time to grow up lyrically. i kissed a ghoul and i liked it? please tell me this is a joke. i mean at least danzig was interesting in the misfits. this is the band's 8th album and it's starting to show. the music is fast sometimes. it's the kind of how it was on life is a grave in that the music is okay though i miss the old more punk guitar sound. also double track your fucking guitar please! i don't know these guys are appealing to the hot topic crowd and i'm not sure they can last much longer. i like this album but i fear it's time for these psychobillys to as they say go to hell. still if you like psychobilly you're probably gonna like this

the faith/void split lp

well things have been kind of fucked up for me. first of all my "friend" rafael died. to be honest he anoyed me but it was a shock to see him go. so yeah. anyway also i'm pissed cause no one comments. for fucks sake people! i don't do this blog so i can fucking waste time i do this blog so i can talk to other people and also hear new music. i've been doing this for over 1 fucking year you cunts. three people have stepped up and i thank them for it (you know who you are) but come on! anyway i don't know why i keep doing this. guess i just like too. so let's get on with this fuckin thing. two dc bands (void were from just outside of dc actually) share this slab of wax. and what a slab. first off is the faith. ripping hc that packs a punch. from what i've gathered they had some former members of soa after hank left. pretty good but the mix is pretty weird. still very angry and great! next up is void. a bit different than the demo but still good. you can hear the metal influences coming through. still i love this band and these 12 smashers are um smashing. produced by ian of minor threat. a fucking hc classic. enjoy this and if you don't fucking comment i'm done

carcass reek of putrefaction lp

well because of a conversation on facebook i will review the first lp by brittish grindcore/melodic death metal/death rock band carcass. now first let me say i love everything by carcass even the last album. that's not to say though that my judgement is clowded by that it's just a fact. anyway when i was 14 i was beginning my grindcore love. i'd heard fear of god and anal cunt and i heard napalm death's first album was a great grind album. so i got it and fell in love. i later learned bill from carcass played guitars on the b-side so i waited a few years (hey i'm slow) before checking carcass. finally i got this album the original mix too though it was on cd. but still. so i put it on. i'd been warned about the bad production before but it was still a surprise. i mean i love bad productions but at first this was a bit much for me. i came to love it though. a bit more death metal influenced than scum it's a bit though not all that slower and the songs seem longer. i won't comment on the lyrics cause the album title and cover (in fact when i bought this the dude at the counter was repulsed by it) says it all. this may have inspired the 21st century novelty cybergrind bands you see a lot do to kenn's vocals (distorted as fuck and creapy) and the mix. i mean on some of the song especially the ones with only one guitar track it's a bit hard to tell anything about the music. still this is damn good grind. gef on bass does most of the vocals and he's good he does his usual vocals. btw hey gef get into dr aids ya cunt! hahahahah. bill's vocals are a bit lower and really pack a punch. i've described kenn's already. holy fuck. 22 songs in just under a half an hour isn't a record (anal cunt can do 42) but this is one of those records you need! go get it! and hi to any members who comment (though no one will) also coming up bill's band disattack. that'll be a treat for ya. also if you want to send me promo stuff please contact me! i'm getting better at reviewing them quickly. hell misery addict i tryed to review it the same day but my internet lost the review. i also reviewed the jasta cd too. anyway pleas send me grind or crust or punk or metal or whatever the fuck.

misery addict the hate tape

well when i first heard misery addict were putting out a new tape i was thrilled. at the same time when i heard it would sound different i didn't know what to think. sure i like change but i fell in love with the not that fast but hard misery addict. so when i got these songs i didn't know what to expect. i'd heard some rough versions and they sounded faster. but nothing could prepare me for this. fast in your fucking face brittish hardcore. the drums pound. the bass throbs, the guitar is something out of this fucking world and the vocals. andrew really must have been pissed about something (maybe it was a day that he ran out of coffee haha) because he screaches and shreaks his way through these 5 songs like some kill animal. everything about this tape is awesome. so far it's the best release of 2011. it'll be out in september and if you don't get this you're a fucking idiot. one of the only bands i can get excited about. buy or die cunts!

the eat god punishes the eat 7 ep

well today i was thinking about what to post next and this came in to my mind. the second release by these punks from florida. not wuite as good as the first one but still pretty damn good. i wish the mix was louder especially on nut cop but what are ya gonna do? 5 enjoyable melodic punk rock songs. the second song has to be my least favorite eat song. it's okay but it never did much for me. after this they put out a 14 song tape which i must review as it's a classic and in the 90s they put out another 7 which is also very good. then the drummer died. this was reissued in that it's not the eat cd so get it! and don't worry more punk is coming up. i have a shitload of old records i need to review. i mean a shitload. anyway i'm out

night birds fresh kills vol. 1 cd
this is one of those new punk bands that get so much shit. you know the whole punk is dead thing and wile i do aggree i still enjoy new punk. and this cd is quite enjoyable. released a while back on grave mistake records (i've been really busy and couldn't get around to this when i wanted) this cd compiles everything by this band up to this point. and what great music it is! great melodic hc. sometimes like in bad biology they remind me of the freeze. and if you can remind me of the freeze i'd say you've done a good job. my favorites are the tracks from the midnight movies tape but the first 7 is great as well. and so is everything elce! great songs with interesting lyrics. and it's over so fast! i here they're putting out an lp. want! it's gotta be great. get this however you can. seriously dudes if you like melodic (not pop) punk you gotta have this. a short one today cause i don't want to ruin this for ya. bad bad bad bad biology!

zombie holocaust strike force cd

well i'm back with a new(ish) thrash album. saw these guys at thrasho last year. it took me this long to get the album but not because i didn't like them. no the reason is i was bombarded with death metal and mainstream stuff so this kinda slipped out of my mind. but now i got it. and what do we have? very good party thrash. municipal waste has kinda chilled a bit on the partying side. but not zh. hailing from northern california this band cranks out one slammer after another. yes i have a soft spot in my heart for thrash. and this is great! production is great which might be a downer for some (sometimes it is with me) but on the other hand you can hear everything even the bass. overall i really like this album. simple and raw. zombie holocaust are working on a new album and i'd love to get it when it comes out. get this if you like new thrash!
